As I'm sure you are all aware, there is no way to keep these UV tickets in circulation - And OOO keeps putting them in the special Prize Boxes, which really eliminates the reason we buy and/or open them.
A small proposal for an old idea I had to partially solve this issue may do the trick, but it's best the community would hear word of it.
Ordinary Prize Boxes would contain the run-of-the-mill items we find in the special Prize Boxes (UV tickets, Krogmo Coin Boosters, Trinket/Weapon slots, ordinary confetti), thus keeping these items in circulation without the need of a promo.
Where would you find one, you ask me or yourself? In the Prize Wheel of course! As to give any player a chance to find one.
Now, we are all aware that a "Prize Box" does not require a key to open, thus slightly expanding on the F2P community (Which is growing as we speak, even.)
So, how do we make it fair? Stick it at a slightly lower drop rate than an Iron Lockbox, as to not cause an overflow of the items within.
Edit 1: Currently UV tickets spilling into circulation would be a bad thing to occur, so to counteract this, they need to be made the "rare" item of the box.
Along with that, we also need a few meh accessories, nothing too special, but nothing too horrible either.
And finally, we take a look at the basic pros and cons.
Pros:
- Keeps UV tickets in circulation (Thus lowering the need to keep putting them in promos)
- Able to expand on the F2P market
- Would not be too much of a hassle to code (Although in all honesty, it won't be a walk through the park)
Cons:
- Can cause overflow of said Prize Boxes or UV tickets into the market (Counter: Lower chance of getting a UV ticket and/or lower the chance of getting a Prize Box, if it isn't low enough by OOO's standards already.)
- May be a waste of time to implement (We're all getting tired of this "prize box" idea, I can presume.)
Now, with all that out of the way, you may now speak your place in any form you must (Although keep it in the ToS, 100% honesty is what we're looking for here.)
+1. Support your ideas all the way, Im sick of the promo's forced out of the P2P's. I myself ( to confess ) am a P2P. Why did I buy crystal energy? I didnt buy it for the crystal energy nor the awards. I bought it to support valve and their games. But being the curious george who I am, I opened the box. Poof, confetti and a bronze UV Ticket. That, is when I got mad, for I acquired those items over and over; 4 nemesis box's and 2 Hunter box's in a ROW. Im sick of the promo's. OOO Needs to agree with what you are saying, for it gives everyone a friendly, and fair chance. Good job Thefirstgamer.
