For everyone who is tired of fighting those 4 little cubes that are so called "harmless" at the training hall because there board or something should want a bigger battle arena with bigger monsters and its free to get in. And they should do it so that it depends on rank you are the bigger the monsters are.
Bigger practice arena!!
No i mean like a practice arena that you can go to when your bored and it costs no energy what so ever with monsters that are bigger that can hurt you but if you die you can revive free like in training hall. Like they could put the entrance in the the bazzar. You know what im sayin?
Yea, its time to make Advanced Training Hall advanced not only in name.
We should make Advanced training hall into Mini Training Hall because it is teaching you the basics. We need a training hall where they teach you about Tier 3.
+1
If you liked this post, please tell your friends and guildies about this.
We also need a defenseless, unlimited hp puppet in order to test our weapons. These lil robo cubes doesnt let us try our weps.
so what youre trying to say like tier 1 tier 1 mode tier 2 tier 2 mode tier 3 tier 3 mode. This means there has to be another type of damage.BUT THIS IS A WONDERFUL IDEA
I was thinking of doing it so there could be 3 different rooms: tier 1, tier 2, and tier 3. You unlock the tier 2 and 3 room as you rank up. And it wont be just fighting, you can learn about the different tiers in different rooms
Agreed, the training hall gives you no experience what so ever about things like shadow fire, water fountains, candles ,etc
+1
I find this a legitimate idea because I find the "ADVANCED" Training Hall pretty amateur and useless because there's not much stuff to learn there and you just fight little defenseless cubes.
Yes. I don't see the point of adding those little 'harmless' cubes when new knights just ravage through and kill them dead, really takes off the idea that they can block after all. And plus, it's sort of pointless to have that room to be a little too cramped when the actual point is to push enemies away.
Brings me the idea to have things that require shield-bumping to do specific actions. Pathing-blocker rocks? Fusing and then deflecting missiles? Carts and rail-tracks? Oh boy. New ideas. Gremlin Mining. 0_0
It would be nice to have non-profit non-competitive things in this game too. An example would be an endless [8 player/survival/deathrun] arena, like Lockdown without competition but full of Rock Jellies or Impostocubes. Or for a more direct reference, The Gauntlet sans profit, just to keep a knight's boredom at bay. And of course, it should be Bring-Your-Own-Equipment, or otherwise there would be no point of having the economy in-game.
Well, other than the reason of wandering around the forums searching for this topic, this is just a suggestion because I'm currently at the Advanced Training Hall doing nothing but watching people kill those poor Shufflebots, or burn each other.
Patience for new content, fellow knights. ^u^
Those "harmless" little cube die after like one hit. No chance to try my totally epic combinations. *cries pitifully* I'm ready to say +5 on this idea
Stuff that should really go in the ATH:
- Brambles (both kinds)
- Different enemy types (Fiend, Beast, Construct, Undead, Jelly, Gremlin) so newbies can see what damage types are effective
- Training dummies that don't move and have nigh-infinite HP/regenerate automatically
Stuff that would be cool in the ATH, although not strictly necessary:
- Ability to test equipment not in own arsenal - would help greatly with wiki purposes and seeing whether you could get used to the 'feel' of a weapon easily or not
- Other more advanced interactables, such as respawning shadowfire, water globs, candles (permanent and impermanent), embers
- Zombies-in-boxes which are locked in place and may only use breath attacks, inflicting such statuses as Stun and Curse
- Tiered rooms which permit equipment to be used at full strength, rather than limiting my Gran Faust to a pithy 53 damage
- More snipes, because why not
Thats an AWESOME idea! Thank you for your support! :D
For the Training Dummy, maybe we could have T3 Zombies locked in a room with a Grim Totem that the knights can't move?
I've been wondering why the Advanced Training Hall never taught the so called Advanced stuff at all.
Great ideas. All of them. Keep them coming.
But remember, even if this is implemented, it will take a while for the design to be added to the game. So all those seeing this, be patient. The dev's work very hard.
Trust me i am not expecting for this to happen anytime soon, it would take at least a month or two to program everything.
BIGGER BIGGER have some robots that spit missles at us LOL, and a test course where you get timed on how fast you go through the course. Pretty much have a maybe 2 training courses that are big as a level. THAT WOUDL BE AMAZGIN!
I am not putting down this thread, my vote is still + 9001.
However, there is logic in OOO making the ATH pathetic.
Here is what happens to most noobs:
1. They start game and take hits with their amour and not their shield, making them die a lot.
2. They energy rez quite often and waste their mist.
3. Being noobs, they see a necessity in buying energy so they can get better and not waste mist/CE.
4. OOO profits.
What would happen if ATH was actually advanced:
1. They start game and take hits with their amour and not their shield, making them die a lot.
2. They hone their skills in the ATH.
3. They become pro and beat clockworks/missions like a boss, with no need of rezzing or immediate better gear.
4. OOO's sale of energy drops.
5. OOO not happy.
Otherwise its something that needs to be added. You still have my support, I'm just pointing out possible issues.
I like the idea. I also think it would be fun to be able to practice on the others players in the hall without causing harm or cost to them. I would love to sneak up on my friends and guildies there and set them on fire, freeze them, put them to sleep or attack with a new gun, sword or bomb.
well... that would probubly annoy some people, but there could be an area were you can only pratice on other people and they can practice on you to...please excuse my spelling.
could have a little section were there is like a spiral knight stand, that you can put armor on, and then try your weapons on them, to see how affective it would be in Lock down, so like a lock down training section ^^
Omg! Improvements to the advanced training hall would be great. :3
They should have difference sections of the training hall divided by tier. :3
A dummy from each family of the monsters would be very nice to test out the effects of a weapon on each monster family, too. :3
Can a GM come and see this, this idea is awesome!
Im in all the way!
For the training dummies, I think there should be one for each family type, with that family types strength and weaknesses, with also a "normal" dummy. They would be unable to be moved and would have unlimited health, of course.
This will help newbies practice alot. The training bots are useless.
and they will learn about what dangers they are about to face in other tiers.
reaallly sucks and needs an upgrade. +1
nick help and make a bigger training room im tired of pwning pathetic robotic cube thingys
if we post more stuff on here we might attract the gms attention:D
but also, +1 to training dummies. hopefully, that will also be a feature of guildhalls as suggested in the GH improvments thread.
+OVER NINETHOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best idea evar.
A bigger arena...
I see what your talking about. But a bigger arena with bigger bosses? Are you asking for more harmful monsters? Hmm, well I might like to try fightning biggers monsters, instead of fighting small cubes.
