I've been playing for a little while now and am looking for the best way in which to make lots of crowns, for ce and items. At present I have heard of JK runs but I am not good enough to do them yet solo or in a group.
What is a good way of making crowns (other than AH)?
I think he meant his thread is at the top... Therefore he said First Post Here. Oh, what are we gonna do with the recent influx of new forumees?
Oh no, I wasn't even responding to his First post here. I was just trying to politely but firmly tell him to search the #$@!& forums.

Yeah, anyway, this question crops up a lot.
There are an awful lot of ways to make crowns:
1) Certain materials sell very well on the AH. There's a chart somewhere with a list of the sale prices of various materials, but as a rule of thumb Beast- and Fiend-dropped materials will be worth more. Most Slime, Construct and Undead materials are relatively lower-priced, although Swordstones, Blast Cores and Owlite Feathers will fetch decent prices.
2) Destroy all bushes and shrubs. We're not kidding. Money grows on plants.
3) Craft popular 2* equipments that can be upgraded to 5*. (Hopefully get UVs.) Sell on AH or on Bazaar forum for tidy profit.
4) Kill stuff. Run boss missions or stratas in particular, since these are more profitable.
5) Sell popular recipes on AH that aren't available in HoH.
6) Kill people in Lockdown.
7) Do arenas
8) Some missions give you some more crowns than others (E.g. Axes of Evil)
Search the forums for "best way to earn crowns". You will find many threads on this topic. You see, you are not the first person to want crowns. :)
