There would be no point. SK can run on almost any PC and it would most likely cost money on XBL. Also, Microsoft restricts bandwidth usage, making it impossible to run an MMO such as SK (even if they could, the controls [among other things] would be horrendous).
Why are people suggesting to make Spiral Knights on different gadgets and devices such as mobile, apps, wii, etc.
-If you ignored:
-The ability to type with a keyboard (you know, how you communicate with 99% of the player base.)
-The ability to aim with a mouse. Can you imagine trying to aim and shoot with a thumb stick??
-The incompatibility with Java.
Don't get me wrong, I think playing lockdown on my 60" plasma screen would be pretty fun. However, this is simply not feasible at this time, and I'm not even going to take time to list all of the other incompatibilities.
Please take time to consider all of these issues before posting on the forums.

Ye are casual.
"Running cross-platform servers is a nightmare."
If ye understand this line of message, I suppose ye would think again how Three Rings has to recreate everything from scratch.
Just like the other thread, mobile applications? I don't want my phone be smashed with my fingers.
This? Sure, maybe controllers are awesome, and playing it on a TV can be awesome too, but think again of what I said above.
-The ability to aim with a mouse. Can you imagine trying to aim and shoot with a thumb stick??
I don't have to imagine it; I've played Spiral Knights for a year and a half nearly exclusively with a 360 gamepad.
I have doubts about how well the CE system is going to sit there, though.
And well, I don't think Xbaux can't into java. And why in the world a free mmo that could be run on a toaster (if it wasn't for lolJava) be played on a console where you have to pay a subscription fee to use the multiplayer?
Inb4 someone mentions that xbaux can run java because it can run minecraft.
Servers aside, Microsoft and XBL have very strict rules about MMOs and persistence. That's why CCP's new game Dust 514 is coming out on PS3.
My understanding is that you can use a corded Xbox controller on a PC with this game. Close enough?
aside from the people moaning about the control scheme, their is one big problem. Microsoft requires developers to pay money for patches. Im not sure how long youve been playing this game but, it gets patched every Wednesday so being charged 40k each week would ammount to bankruptcy for OOO. xbox also requires a subscription fee to use online.
since PS3 and Xbox360 both have patch fees its out of the question. the only console other than those is the Wii ( which isnt technically capable). So the only platforms left are Wii U, IOS, and Android.
That Would be cool but i doubt that will happen. Good thinking!
I have it noted that 'Killaboinine' is an alternate of Blandaxt.
I went through the terms of service and found ban dodging (hiding on an alternate to avoid being completely banned) is not in there, though in most other games it is.
Last time I saw someone try to get away with ban dodging as Blandaxt has done over several months, though it was in a different game, the user had their main account completely revoked and all caught alternates blocked from the forums. I may not expect Three Rings to be competent/aware enough to deal with this but it gets annoying when idiots are allowed to continue their feces spewing and consumption in our presence.
I say no to this.
If you wanted to play it on a 60" plasma, you could hook your computer up to it and run it that way. get a wireless mouse and keyboard and have fun. there, just like an xbox without the controller.
If the idea was for a controller, you could get an old xbox controller with a usb port plug and hook it up to your computer and set it up to run with SK, there.
Tadah, all the "perks" of an xbox without making sk on xbox.
I hate it when people do that
With a 3rd party program, you can use a 360 controller on the PC. I've tried it with SK, and it really doesn't work as well as you'd think it should.
Shame on you. Stop commenting on this thread and necroing it
Necroing is fine, as long as there's substantial amounts of input and conversational impact, really.
Unfortunately for people who don't want to hook up controllers to PCs or don't understand why SK can't just port over to whatever console comes to mind, comments such as 'do it, do it!' have neither of the above to criteria for an 'acceptable necropost'.
You may not bump threads that are really old and those threads that don't have good ideas. Go read the rules. Seriously.
Benightz, you should read the rules. The rules state that you should not "Post spam or other nonsense that disrupts the forum's formatting, functionality, or usability, including quote pyramids or "bump" posts.." Your typical necro would fall under spam that disrupts the forum's formatting functionality, or usability. This is because it adds nothing to an old thread while taking up space on the front page. This is also why you shouldn't create a new thread that is exactly the same as the dead thread.
If the necro-post has substantial new and pertinent information, and the thread is still relevant, it is completely acceptable.
Well however, this thread didn't go well and is suppose to be buried down to the depths.
Yet again...

"The Xbox 360 version of Minecraft became profitable within the first 24 hours of the game's release, when the game broke the Xbox Live sales records, with 400,000 players online. Within a week of being on the Xbox Live Marketplace, Minecraft sold upwards of one million copies. It was announced in July 2012 that Minecraft has sold over three million copies since the game debuted on Xbox LIVE Arcade in May 2012. This brings the total projected sales for Minecraft to over seven million for all platforms in its lifetime."
Still don't think the CE system would go over well, though.
