The last post says that you can edit and then save a page to fix it if the cache is out of date. This is a BAD way of dealing with it, because it will record it and this might not even work in the first place. There are two ways I know that should work. (This is browser dependent. I use Firefox in Linux.)

  • Hold shift and click on the reload button.
  • Clear recent history including cache. (In Firefox, it is Tools->Clear Recent History and check off Cache. Then click clear history.)

If you are reading this Equinox, I am just pointing this out cause I think it is a better solution then filling up the edit history. Oh, and one question: what is causing the image latency? That problem has been around since the beta, and it's been getting annoying.

The wiki will not record a null edit.

The issue that fix is used

The issue that fix is used for is not a browser cache issue, it's a wiki issue where the page hasn't updated and involves the links/included pages. Clearing your browser cache does not fix that specific issue. Null edits are recorded (the ones where you add a space or something), but it's easy to see what is and isn't a null edit with the diff. They're harmless.

The image issue is a content delivery network issue.

To my knowledge null edits do not show as long as the space is at the end of the page and you do not put anything in the summary.

For that updating links/includes thing, I've found that it doesn't seem to work unless the edit is saved.

Strange. I tried a null edit with both ways and neither way is making the September update appear.
