PAX is a great way to draw in new customers, especially if you give out pins or other swag!

If OOO defers to Sega on these matters, then maybe Sega didn't want them there. If OOO decided to not go themselves, I'd bet it's pretty damn expensive to get a booth at an event like that. Might not be worth it. Especially since they went there once already. They'd know how beneficial PAX is to them after that.
After all, it seems this game is promoting itself primarily through the web. No need to go to a trade show/convention if you're not aiming for the core crowd.

Maybe they didn't go to PAX because they don't really have anything new to show off. It's been a year and all the updates since then have been pretty small, and even though missions were cool, I don't feel like they added a whole lot to the game - they just changed the way players progressed through it.
But we've all been aware that OOO has been molasses slow as far as development goes, despite what the fan-boys say, this game just updates super slow compared to other F2P MMOs.

the game has changed SO much over the past year -__- dafuq you talking about? Mission mode is such a huge update, how you can not call that a whole lot, I dont even.... Crimson hammer, danger missions, Rescue Camp story-line and so many promo's @.@ are you on crack?
....Think of how long it would take to do mission mode. Has a story, cut-scenes ect ect. SO HUGE

I didn't go to PAX so I don't know for sure. If they weren't there, it's a shame. I think they were at PAX last year though.
