What should I bring to SL snarby? I know there are hundreds of threads like this (I'm sorry) but I would like an input about my gear, not theirs! I have never been to a SL, so any advice would do ^.^

I will also use 2 Weapon Slot upgrades, so pick 4 weapons please ^.^

My arsenal:

Swords:
Barborous Thorn Blade
Divine Avenger
Leviathan Blade
Warmaster Rocket Hammer

Guns:
Agent Peacemaker
Toxic Needle (might be upgraded to Blight, then Plague)
Umbra Driver
Valiance

Bombs:
Dark Retribution

Helmets:
Divine Veil
Skolver Cap

Armor:
Divine Mantle
Justifier Jacket

Shields
Grey Owlite Shield

Thank you for reading and telling me some tips :D

I assume that you've read the wiki page "Shadow Lair"?

A mixture of your helmets and armors, ending up with some piercing and some shadow, would be fine. For a shield, I'd really recommend a shadow shield, to help with the howlitzers. After that, Barbarous Thorn Shield or another piercing shield. Grey Owlite is not great here.

For weapons, I recommend a bread-and-butter elemental weapon for the undead, and a bread-and-butter piercing weapon for the beasts. For many people, "bread-and-butter" means sword. If you're a gunner, then it means a gun that you know well. If you're a bomber, then I hope you know what you're doing. After that, your party would benefit from elemental guns (for the howlitzers), and crowd-control bombs. It's not that everyone in the party needs both; it's just good if the party has a couple of each. So for you I'd recommend BTB, DA (or WRH), and Argent.

Don't forget the Unknown Passage, which is arguably the hardest part. I don't really know what to tell you there. I like weapons with a lot of knockback, that I can use to constantly push monsters away from me.

So..

So would this loadout work?
Wolver Cap
Divine Mantle
Grey Owlite (my only shield)
BTB
DA
Argent

I would also need a 4th weapon though, what about valiance? or a Blight needle? (4*)

Blight needle is already a

Blight needle is already a poor chocie agaisnt the regular needle/Blitz on normal situations. Why poison, when the other outrights kills you?
To make it worse, snarby SL is poison-themed, negelecting it's main point.

Valiance if you want, But I woudlnt take any of the lsit honestly, save the energy for the slot. The other 3 will do.

What about trinkets? Considering your... limited... defenses they might save you.

Your 4th weapon should be the levi. The charge will save your spiral butt atleast twice ^^

I would go with Skolver + Justifier.

It's not worth sacrificing a bar of normal def, a bar of piercing def, and gun ASI med just to get a bar of shadow def and a bar of ele def that will be totally useless.

Use trink slots instead of a fourth weap slot. Up your damage. (Or even penta would be better than a fourth weapon, if you have no weapon that's really appropriate.)

Defensive trinkets are not very useful. Offensive trinkets are really useful. For example, getting damage bonus against every monster on your swords is great.

Your 4th weapon should be the levi. The charge will save your spiral butt atleast twice ^^

If you use the Levi charge attack heavily in ordinary play, then you might want to bring it along. If not, then don't. It's outclassed by your other swords.

Bring BTB and Polaris. Anything else is optional.

Edit: Oh, you don't have a Polaris. Go for Valiance, for the Howlitzers.

Hearth pendants or elite modules, not the crap stuff you get for tokens.

Well, we just told you that defensive trinkets aren't very useful, compared to offensive trinkets. But if you wanted more defense, you would go for either piercing, shadow, or poison trinkets, because those are the threats in SGWW, right?

huh?

Would a Mask of Seerus Help? I can craft that when i get my Ce

Perfect Mask of Seerus offers normal (which you want), elemental, fire, and shock (which don't help here), freeze penalty (which doesn't hurt here), and a poison penalty (which does hurt). Except for the gun bonuses, this is one of the worst armor items to bring into Shadow Gloaming Wildwoods. I don't understand why you would bring it up.

So then my final setup would

So then my final setup would be
Skolver Cap: Normal/Piercing Def. Freeze Resist. With a Med Stun UV
Divine Mantle: Shadow/Elemental Def. Curse, Shock and Fire Resist. With a Med Poison UV

Grey Owlite Shield (my only Shield): Fire and Shock Resist. With an Elemental High UV

Barbarous Thorn Blade Lv. 10
Argent Peacemaker Lv. 10 Gremlins Low Uv
Divine Avenger Lv. 10
Leviathan Blade or Valiance

Would that be an appropriate setup? or would that be suicide? The setup here offers protection against all damage types.
Should I change anything?

Is my post invisible or something? >__>

I know I'm not Bopp, but still.

Skolver + Justifier. My take. See above for reasoning.

"Protection against all damage types" sounds nice, but do you really need that in SL Snarby? No. You do not.

P.S. I don't see why you'd ever need Levi with those other three weapons you have.

So

Then the loadout would be?
Skolver Cap: Normal/piercing Def. Freeze Resist. With Med Stun UV
Justifier Jacker: Normal/Piercing Def. Stun Resist. With Shadow High UV

Grey Owlite Shield (my only Shield): Fire and Shock Resist. With an Elemental High UV

Barbarous Thorn Blade Lv. 10
Argent Peacemaker Lv. 10 Gremlins Low Uv
Divine Avenger Lv. 10
4th slot open

From what i see, all i have is piercing and normal, don't wolvers deal elemental?
And the 4th slot, could be anthing, Leviathan for crowd control, or Valiance for knockback!

Wolver deal piercing, like all Beasts.

BTW, I want to add that it'd be better if you could go in full shadow, or Skolver + a normal/shadow armour. It's not that shadow isn't useful there (it definitely is), just that using the Mantle exacts too high a price (loss of offensive bonus and a bar of normal).

I went in full Skolver and did fine, FYI. (I, too, lacked good alternatives.)

Yes.

Like I said, I went with full Skolver. I did have a shadow shield, though; you don't, so you'll have to be more vigilant about dodging. Weapon-wise, you have pierce and ele, so it's all good.

If I could do it with bad lag and average skills, I'm sure you can too.

Don't let the snipes bite

WRH is too offensive, one wrong click and i can fly 5 tiles into a thorn tile. I also already have Da.
Toxic needle would be useless from what was said aboce, Snarby SL is appearently Poison.
Ty for your input though :)

So

May you tell me why you added WRH? Also, you need to learn how to control it. Get some experiance. So if you practiced and trained to use it, then you should be perfectly fine.

Also, I recommned you have at least a UV on each weapon. It would be easier.

No need for UVs, ever.

They're a nice bonus, but they don't make a huge difference unless high/VH.

Well, it is noticeable.

But it's not huge, that's all. And it's certainly not so crucial that the OP should go rolling just to do an SL.
