Worth(less?) UVs?

Hey, so I'm posting this is general discussion because I'm not actually trying to sell anything. I have gotten a few low UVs and stuff (but damn sure keep them when upgrading because it's better than nothing - I hope :\ ).
But when randomly crafting stuff I made a jelly mail with a high piercing resist and jelly shield with medium shadow resist. (only ever high and meds)
Now I know no one cares about piercing resist (and that's why you rarely see people in jelly other than costume) ... so I'm kinda hoping the boss of T4 will deal massive piercing damage, haha. And although med shadow resist ain't bad no one uses jelly over owlite shields.
So should I even bother trying to sell either of them? I would feel minorly resentful selling them for the standard 4K 2* item price. You think those UVs are worth anything? If we had an AH I would chuck them in there for a bit more than normal,, but definitely am not going to spam trade for something people might not even want...

Place an auction for them in the Bazaar and see if you get any fish.
There's always someone willing to wear something as their main armor; I've seen several players adamantly defend wearing Silvermail, for example.
In short: Capitalize on the baddies.

If the developers really wanted to be evil
There would be rooms with wall to wall spikes and barbed brambles or a myriad of timed doors which force you to run through spikes. Noone knows exactly what is on the mind of the notorious Impostocube and crew.
Well getting a bonus to slimes or constructs on a flourish would be rather wasteful, likewise a bonus to beasts or gremlins on an alchemer would be a pain. Unless it's a similar situation, I can't really think of a case where a UV is useless. Any bonus resistance is useful, even if we don't currently have an abundance of enemies who use that type.
