So I'm working on getting my lovely Grey feather set when suddenly they decide to release these three classy little numbers! I was already planning on buying energy so I was like hey! Free stuff! But now it's got me wondering, what would look better with my mantle? The Red Chapeau or The Black one?
Does anyone have a picture of rockin the chapeaus with the grey feathers?
And while we're at it, Chapeaus or no, what do you like to to rock in the Clockworks? Let the fashion commence!

That is SUPER Classy i must say! I wonder how it looks with the black chap? there's more brown leather on it then the others, and it looks as if the black matches the dark grey on the coat!
And did you guys notice how the black tabard has all brown leather boots? that's kinda fly!

Oh gosh. I just figured out that the Grey Feather Mantle's colours are determined by character colour. I was waffling on getting one because I didn't like the green, which is in the image on the wiki. No doubts now.

have to say, the black rose tabard with white rose hat and a light blue feather works very nicely indeed...
I've got a White Rose set which I like pretty well, but I actually think that full azure guardian with aegis the the most stylish outfit I've seen yet. Skolver with White Rose Hat probably takes second.
I'm not sure how OOO feels about client-side modifications, but it's trivial to modify colors or the like if you just want to look fashionable on your own screen. The relevant files are just ordinary images without any kind of protection or anything on it.

Shani, the whole point of vanity is that I'm shallow and want other people to pay attention to my appearance and subconsciously judge me to be a better person. Client side modifications? PAH. Would you wear a jacket that has fancy designs on the inside? I would, it's super chic right now. I forgot the point of that analogy, but I'm so good looking in this jacket that it doesn't matter.

Sure, I'd wear a jacket with a lining like that, assuming the jacket itself looked nice.
But more to the point, modifying it client-side makes you, the player, not want to tear your eyes out because you hate the outfit you have on despite it being statistically superior and you don't want to use the costume slot for whatever reason.

Strangely, I see people wearing bits and peices of brute jelly armor everywhere, but I'm the first person i've saw with the full set...
I recently crafted a Salamander mask and Sinister skelly suit. Only after I equipped them both did I realize they made me look like Godzilla. :)

Oh and I met a classy gent named Blanky last night rocking a white and purple Nameless poncho with a purple feathered white chapeau, 10 points on that!
I like the knightly gear, but I wouldn't mind some new more sci-fi-hybrid type costumes. Maybe something Tronish? A Mecha Knight outfit?
