Tell me some reasons why people are quitting the game.
When did things go wrong?
1. End Game Equipments.
2. The Core is not opening, that means no expanded main story.
3. Some newcomers can't handle the economy standards and rage quit.
4. Life and Gaming balancing.
5. Bad development, e.g. Shard bombs update.
6. Community attitude issues that some players can't tolerate.
7. Ye leave, I leave, similiar to "YOU JUMP, I JUMP, EVERYONE JUMP".
actually quitting? ... or "reality quitting?" You know, like when they act as though they're quitting (they may actually even be convinced that they quit!) but then they come back within a week or two (or less).
If actually quitting, I'd say it's because school or work... or some kind of other hobbies that are more of a priority.
If "reality quitting," I'd say it's because a desire for attention, or some kind of weird, misdirected, passive-aggressive rage that needs to be expressed with a sense of meaning, yet in an entirely harmless manner.
Probably one of the reason I stayed was to help newbs
reasons they leave: what is stated above all i got to say.
what they could do to make game fun again is: like somebody said is they need to open the core add more to the story, or they could even give us another area to explore or new monster type to fight in that area like like a new tower boss or something, heck add a new tower in arcade or even more missions like shadow lair or something. also make crafting available again ce price is nuts now (it is sad when i can actually apply a DBZ joke to the game now). really need more stuff to do heck even a new pvp would be nice LD is okay, bomberman is fine if u can do it (not me i stink at it always end up bombing myself). we need more things to do in PvP or regular game play.
but that is my opinion in a nutshell.
The updates, a lot of the time, just completely screw people over.
Can't count the number of times that they've added in things that should have been ironed out during the entire year of beta testing.
OOO is giving us major content updates. The Danger Missions represent four entirely new level sets, the mission system provides a much-needed storyline, OCH was an entirely new boss (in addition to a new level set and some sweet equipment), the guild update gives some actual functionality to guilds, and shadow lairs represent a massive addition to the story.
As far as the economy goes, getting to 5-star should take a long time. 5-star is the endgame, just put some time and effort into it. It's what we all had to do.
People quit for one of three reasons:
1. Real Life. Sometimes it gets in the way of gaming
2. Impatience. They're not willing to put in the time and effort to reach the end-game.
3. End-game boredom. This is partially alleviated by the additions to the game which I have detailed above, but all games get boring eventually
No one ever quits. Admin just has been known to lock a few users n a closet until they are ready to eat them for dinner. The next time you know someone who has left the game, look at Nick with that out of the corner of your eye, accusing kind of stare.
1-Missions introduced.
2-People done missions
3-Few found it grinding bosses is good way to earn crowns
4-Grinding disease spreaded
5-While this, people earned massive amount of cr
And eventually ce prices raised like hell
People Leave because Devs Make Bad updates/changes or make a Saying like "this will come in a month" And dont do It.
This affects People Buying ce because People quitting Will NOT buy ce anymore and sell it LIMITING the ce.
Three Rings has given us hundreds of hours of free entertainment. They have not promised us unlimited free entertainment. They cannot produce new content as fast as we can gobble it up. So, when people get bored, they leave Spiral Knights for a while. Some come back when there is new content, and some don't.
A small fraction of people who leave actually make a thread about it, because they want attention.
This game is fine. People leave, then new people join, old people come back. I left and came back twice. Every time I came back I noticed nice things about this game that no other game offers. It's really a special game, but you end up needing a break once in a while. I still craft 2 star equips to this day, and I still sell them easily, it's a sign that it may not be as popular as launching but it's still attracting new players.
Bop your wrong about the last part.
They dont make quit threads to get attentions they do it to let there friends know -.-
Most of the "I quit" threads I've seen on here lately are the aforementioned "reality quit" threads. In those cases, it is done for attention only. The other cases, which are much more rare, are sincere... and yes, they would like their friends to know about it... For me, if I were to quit, I'd actually let my friends know about it in game, or on steam or whatever. To put it in a public space like the general forum just seems kinda dramatic to me unless it's a last resort or something.
They dont make quit threads to get attentions they do it to let there friends know -.- [sic]
This is the stated reason, but I think it's nonsense. If you want your friends to know something about you, then you tell your friends that thing. This is far more efficient at reaching the target audience than making a forum post.
To look at it another way: In almost every instance, an "I'm quitting" thread evokes almost no responses from the poster's actual friends. (Timbalero's case may be an exception.) Instead, you see a dozen "who are you again?" responses, and a brief argument about the cost of CE and the lack of updates, and the thread is done.
I believe the biggest reason why people really quit a game is because they have other things in life that are more important.
and sometimes it's because there's nothing left to see in SK, they might come back later when more content is added or not.
I don't think anyone who is 'so offended' by the game lying to them or the cost of CE prices or what ever the complaint would come onto the forums and post an 'i quit because...' thread
because putting the effort into coming onto the forums and posting a thread shows that they at least care a little about the game.
and anyone who felt cheated by the game would have long gone before they cared that much.
either way personally I take breaks from SK all the time, when I'm out of content to do, or when other games that I want to play appear.
If Bopp isn't a current player of SK, I can see your dilemma because you wouldn't be able to tell him in game. BUT FEAR NOT!!!!! I can help you here, because if Bopp IS NOT a current player, then it won't actually matter if you quit the game, since he wouldn't notice you missing! :D
When I quit I'll encode my farewell message into a series of wiki edits that only observers of the Recent Changes list will perceive.
When WASN'T it CSI? :P (I'm the short, fat bald guy with the moustache... if there is a guy like that on CSI).
People have been getting tired of the same old thing. We want major content updates, not danger missions, OCH, not to mention that CE prices are through the roof by now. I honestly think that OOO isn't giving us the major updates we want, I mean the guild hall updates will be nice and all, I think some players have nothing left to accomplish. Tons of the older players that have been around since beta have gone, we're just tired of the same thing.
