Insert a Spiral Knights weapon, don't give me poop about a TF2 minigun.

You can do any weapon, but ones I really want to know is:
Glacius
Mad Bomber
Vog Cub
Nitronome
Electron Vortex
Flourish/Thorn
Storm Driver
Valiance
Blitz Needle
GF
DBB

Uh?

Why would anyone post about TF2 weapons? I don't see why you assume your readers are idiots. It does not make me well-inclined to help you.

Anyway, it's not rocket science. Weapons prized for their normal attack are best with ASI. Weapons prized for their charge are best with CTR. Monster damage bonus is always fine (unless a weapon deals almost no direct damage, e.g. because it's just for status infliction) if you're planning to use it against that monster and won't already have max damage. Again, duh.

Mad Bomber and Vog Cub are not weapons. You do know this, right?

I think it's hilarious that you'd even ask about bombs. Gee, I wonder what UV you'd want on one of those? -___-

CTR for any bomb, blitz, calibur or brandish. ASI for the rest.
On armors, whatever status you hate the most.

Thats general preferences, but each case is different. DA is a slow sword, I want ASI on it. But others might actually just get ctr to spam it's charge.
Some might want to put shock resist on mad bomber since it's an annoying status that interrupts you, but others might opt for fire resist to use it on FSC.

The question is what do you want/need?

I'm not assuming that readers

I'm not assuming that readers are idiots. It's from knowing people personally and sometimes seeing people trying (and succeeding) to be funny about a post.

Yes, I throw my Mad Bomber helm at enemies and slap people with Vog Cub in LD. (changed to equips)

I don't even need CTR on most of my bombs because with the lvl 10 +2 bonus and +4 bonus of Mad Bomber, its already Max.

The ASI and CTR thing is a tad bit obvious, but what about certain monster families? A piece of equipment can have up to three UVs. Should monster family bonuses be on what they're strong against? Neutral? Or Weak? What about normal damage weapons?

That's one bad thing about being a little socially awkward, you can be real harsh when you don't mean it. That's pretty sad if it even shows up in my typing...

If you already know what you would want, why would you need to ask what you want?

Ah, okay. I see you do have some real questions.

"The ASI and CTR thing is a tad bit obvious, but what about certain monster families? A piece of equipment can have up to three UVs. Should monster family bonuses be on what they're strong against? Neutral? Or Weak? What about normal damage weapons?"

Strong, always. With two weapon slots, you can cover two damage types. Given that the majority of enemies in a given level will mainly fall within two enemy types, you should rarely be attacking an enemy using neutral damage, and *never* be attacking an enemy using weak damage.

Neutral is acceptable, for those rare occasions.

Weak is useless. Even a Max bonus will leave you dealing pitiful damage. Try it some time: get Max damage using armour/trinks (don't get a silly UV just to test this!) and attack Fiends/Undead with an Acheron. You'll see.

Re: bombs, with full Mad Bomber, you clearly don't need any UVs on your bombs at all. You could get an appropriate med monster bonus for your direct damage bombs, but why not just equip one damage trink instead?

Re: Mad Bomber, like Little-Juances says, what do you need? Are you dying in fire a lot? Do you want more damage protection? What? There are (almost) no "bad" UVs on armour, only unwanted UVs.

Re: Vog, same applies, with one caveat: if you're wearing full Vog, you don't want your Fire UVs to exceed a High equivalent in total, or the extra resistance goes to waste.

@Derpules

Armour bonuses have been confirmed to go beyond the visible limit, so I think just getting as much fire resistance as possible on Vog is nice?

They do.

But the practical benefit stops at double Max (i.e. full Vog) + High.

Glacius - Charge VH Mad

Glacius - Charge VH
Mad Bomber - any status resistance VH
Vog Cub - shadow maximum / piercing
Nitronome - charge VH
Electron Vortex - charge VH
Flourish/Thorn - ASI VH and maybe charge VH for SOME monsters
Storm Driver - charge and ASI VH
Valiance - ASI VH
Blitz Needle - charge VH
GF - ASI VH
DBB - charge VH

The items that have only one UV can have more if you like the idea, but i think these would be the best SINGLE uv's to have on those items.

Disucussing more than 1 UV is unrealistic unless you have LOTS of money and nothing else to spend them on.
Punch wont make it easy, unless you want triple lows.

Looks like I'm just getting the ASI/CTR thing which I did not need to know. (especially with the bombs). And I know now to get family bonuses on the type they are strong against.

Graveyard, AWAY!!!!!!! (wtf was that?)
