A. Fewer, bigger and better updates. For example, new clockwork levels, new weapon lines, etc.
B. Many, smaller and minor/vanity updates. For example, a recolor, a new promo/accessory, to act as filler between larger updates.
C. Bugfixes.
D. Revisits of old, undesirable features. For example, lockdown, accessories, shadow lair being revisited and having their model changed to fit the desire of the community more while still being to OOO's liking. Please don't say revisit the CE system. CE/CR sinks balance, yes, CE model, no.

Cast your vote by simply typing a letter. If none of those fit your opinion, feel free to make your own options. I will tally the votes every day at 4PM GMT, in the original post, for OOO to see easier. :) <3

A) I would also like them to

A)
I would also like them to be well thought out rather than rushed and trashy. The frequent smaller and minor/vanity updates are driving me crazy. I frequently have to uninstall/reinstall SK after the update, which takes a long time, so I can play only to find out is was a trivial update. As time goes on, this is seeming to occur more and more often. A few months ago, I didn't care about the updates at all. Then I would have to do the uninstall/reinstall occasionally. Now it's becoming a pain in the butt and I have to do it with almost every update.

I'd vote a combo of A and C.

I can think of one condition where option B is acceptable, and it is embodied in the most recent patch update: If you release a sizable chunk of new content that expands the game itself, in this case a danger mission, and you release a wave of accessories alongside it with the same theme, then I can live with that. There will still be a rush for energy purchases, as the items/accessories released alongside other content will be more sought-after and more rare, therefore raising the relative price of each accessory.

and bugfixes are just... well... a good idea no matter where you come from. There's still a few in there that have been around for quite a while that could still use some fixing *coughstunbugcough*

I am not going to be able to choose a single option for this, but I can give you a chronological order of what I would do:

  • Bugfixes, glitch stomping; fixing the game. No one wants to play with broken toys.
  • Rebalancing existing items. There are too many underpowered items available. Rebalance those to make them more appealing, more energy is bought and burned to make them, Three Rings is making money, players get new toys to play with on top of the fixed big toy.
  • Creating new systems for the game, such as the imminent guild hall update or the promised new combat system which may never be addressed; not a new weapon or tiny mission, but a huge feature that affects the majority of players. Weapons can only be obtained by certain people who can afford it unless it can be crafted or received as a boss reward for cheap or from an easy boss. The constant stream of missions only address a minority of players while the majority can only spin their thumbs until they get the equipment needed to enjoy it.
  • Fixing the side stuff such as Lockdown, Blast Network, accessories, missions; the things people think are the main focus of the game right now. The first of these I would crack down on would be missions. We need an incentive to play through the Arcade but doing missions usually saves time by skipping to boss stratums. Does this mean to beat down mission payouts constantly? Probably, but seeing as boss token weapons are a major part in the arsenal of most players I would say to remove boss tokens from missions once the boss is defeated but keep the token rewarded to the player for completing the mission. Those boss tokens are part of what makes bosses so appealing, to get a fancy "rare" item. Take those out of missions, people have to go through the Arcade to get their DAvenger/GFaust/Sentenza/Peacemaker/Snarbolax weapon/Pulsar/Catalyzer/Fang of Vog/Crest of Almire/Ancient Plate stuff.
  • Once everything is said and done, the game is enjoyable without forcing people to change but making other ways more appealing, then silly cosmetic stuff. New accessories, costumes, pants; after trying out all the armor and weapons people may need a break to cool down a little after figuring out Valiance is a great sidearm or Venom Veiler is actually useful. They would be buying energy to get some derp cosmetic toy, then use that energy to make the other equipment they wanted to get.

And now for ham.

I've seen many players for

I've seen many players for different games say they want to wait longer but for bigger updates.... they don't. After that first month or so they start losing their minds and they want something to fill in the wait time. Smaller, easier-to-produce content helps to try and buy them time.

I will admit there are some very persistent bugs that should really be resolved, but I can't know what they're doing about this to begin with. I can't know how difficult certain issues are to fix as I don't work on Spiral Knights myself, so maybe they could be a tad more open about the issues I guess.

Overall though, I prefer lots of bugfixes - with larger updates happening every two months or so. I think there just needs to be more in-game events so that it helps to distract the players more often with fun, neat content with decent rewards.

Devilite, it is not the persons who asked for it that do it.

Njthug, go do your

Njthug, go do your boot-licking somewhere else.

On topic:
A and D combo, but more focused on D.
I'll also add an 'E' option: More responses from the Devs regarding the game itself, what is right, what is wrong, what SHOULD be fixed, that sorta thing.

ACDE Unfortunately B is

ACDE

Unfortunately B is required to help curtail inflation.

I would like to see the person in charge of the in game economy release a statement however. Mostly because I like economics and wanna know how they approach an environment where the basic economic problem doesn't exist.

Just wanna say I am a massive fan of OOO.

My vote is to make rolling

My vote is to make rolling much more cheaper, because people keep thinking even 100 rolls is not enough to determine that max has not reached it's 5% yet. I've rolled 1/97 maxes so far, and getting ce or cr is a chore and a pain. I don't care if it's because of the randomness factor, the point is, is that it should raise the max rates higher to adjust to the difficulty of getting crowns or a budget on rolling/unlocking boxes at least in a fun way(it's definitely not fun grinding KoA anymore, plus I've met my first, but heard he was a recurring, burglar face to face for the first time, and I just want to land a job and get da f outta here and be one of those 'survival of the "fittest"' at they safehouse). You burn through crowns way too quick and get too many lows, sometimes even way over the 80% mark.

Frankly it's time to skip out on shadow lairs like I've planned with the last 5kce I've gambled(now I have to rely on selling some stuff since I've spent all 5kce that was reserved for shadow lairs after having spent 10kce or 62 rolls to get an elemental max, keep that in mind, cause people up to this point thought I was just using 5kce here; and to which I thought I would get another max soon rolling the same item), cause it's lost all its sentimental value through some of its fans. Only way to play Shadow Lairs is if I get some quick deals and buyers have to appreciate that it's hard to roll good uvs, let alone maxes to warrant the price. Also a new vote on making items easier to sell like they used to back then. Make business bustle like they used to, nowadays the vets only want the newest rarest accessory or costume and not all of us can afford to roll boxes. Buyers won't even sink their crs at the AH even at low bids, even when crystal energy is harder to get for them, not expensive, just slow. So yeah that's the reason you'll see me around thinking I've changed my mind(hey I've seen other guys that said they've quit but still saw them in the game).

To some extent, I am with Njthug on this one surprisingly- I like how they do it as it is. That being said, I would be grateful if they were to do more of a mix of all of the options, with focus on 'A' and 'B'- which I can kind of see them having done recently with the "hacker" promos coming out alongside the "hacker" mission. As I wrote on the recent update page, I may be writing my thoughts on how to best suit the community with updates, so I'll leave it at this.
