Those numbers should give you a good idea, what I'd wish for: A new 2* weapon for guns and bombs.
Gunners don't get much love at times, given even their armor set starts at 3*. They don't have fancy expansion weapon (the helm needs 3 runs, different mats and 800 E, while the hammer and bomb are given just for completing it once). And when faced with Devilites they are about as much help as something that is not helping.
Bombers as well, have had to face many hardships recently being deprived of any real chance to deal damage.
Swords on the other hand pretty much have all they need, as well as a fancy featured skin, just for the hell of it.
I won't go and suggest a reskin or any of the likes. What I think to be a lot more "necessary" is a 2* weapon for Callahan/Iron Slug and one or two 2* weapons for the Electron/Graviton Vortex. The reason for why I think this to be important is their accessibility, hence the titel. As it is now, a sworduser can ragecraft weapons that equal 13 of the 5* swords. A bomber 14 (of which 6 are the "much loved" shard bombs, so hey). However, a gunner can only ragecraft weapons that equal 9 of the 17 endgame weapons.
Hopefully you agree by now that a 2* weapon wouldn't hurt them, add to the options of newcomers and help make those weapons a bit more appealing. If not, than stop reading and start typing your comment, because from here on, there will only be what I think the two weapons should look like.
For the Callahan/ Iron Slug we would need something like a colt. Magnus is most likely taken from the "Magnum" caliber, so a colt might fit there. If it comes from the latin word for great, then you could call a smaller version of it "Minos" - for the latin "minor", small.
It's design would be not unlike the Magnus, just without the two lights above and below the muzzle -> http://www.abload.de/img/minimagnus6krtw.png
If anyone knows how to "name" a link in this damn forum, feel free to tell me.
The mechanic to the "small Magnus" should be the same as with the other "heavy" guns, obviously.
Back to the topic, this one's easy: Name it "Whirl Bomb", make it a light grey sphere without the spikes of the 3* ones and have it do normal damage. Or if you're feelin' all fancy, make it have a little fan visible from the outside. Nothing great, it just have to make sense.
It would work like the bigger vortex bombs but have a slightly smaller radius.
Did' I forget something that should be mentioned about such weapons? After all, I'm not trying to create a whole now weapon-class, so many things should fall into place by themself.
"Gunners
when faced with Devilites they are about as much help as something that is not helping"
Valiance and Magnus line bullets hit before they dodge because they lack the short delay before firing that more commonly used guns such as Antigua lines have; not that being commonly used creates that delay, it comes as part of the mechanic for some guns. If you do not have Valiance already I highly recommend getting it for primary gunning and bombing alike as a sidearm.
Graviton was originally linked to the Blast lines and branched from Super Blast to the 4* Graviton. Apparently it was overused so they had to make it an independent line to make crafting for UVs more difficult. Graviton is one of if not the least used bomb in the game excluding the derp 1* status-Blast-thing bombs.
Vortex has shock (someone said it has a 4/3 [good chance of moderate] rate, highest possible is 4/4 [good chance of strong], but has the same base damage). Graviton has shadow damage instead of element and no status or different mechanic which makes it in some way better than Electron. Most higher difficulty areas have shadow resistant enemies. Graviton line recipes are not available through the mission recipe vendors. Why? I want to know, too.
A 2* for Magnus would be alright, but a 2* Graviton/suction bomb would be silly. The 3* already has derp small suction range and each star rank is about 0.5 space radius smaller than the rank above it, 5* having a two space suction radius. They could reconnect Graviton line to Blast as it used to be but they probably separated it for a reason. Probably not a good reason, but to them reason enough to do it.
