After yesterday's patch, (09/13/2012), I noticed that some things seemed a bit 'off' when I revisited Haven and began my daily Prestige Mission.
First of all, I noticed the motion blur type feature added to the Snarble Barb line. Very nice, (and Flourish too?) but that seemed to have a great effect on the weapon's speed. Here's an example:
My Barbarous Thorn Blade as Attack Speed Increased: Medium (with an Elite Quickstrike Module making it Very High). I use this weapon everyday, so knowing how fast its speed is just second nature to me. Now, after this patch, my Barbarous Thorn Blade is performing as if it has no ASI, or Attack Speed Increased, what-so-ever. This is a massive problem and needs to be sorted!
If you, Nick, so happened to have decreased the speed on these swords due to members complaining that it is too fast in Lockdown, then count me out. Such things as these could destroy my means, and possibly others, of playing this game. That isn't a valid excuse for nerfing the speed for a simple MINIGAME. However, should it appear that this is only a bug due to the motion blur animation/effect added to the Barbarous Thorn Blade/Final Flourish line then this needs to be fixed. It would appear that I'm not the only one who has noticed this bug.
I also noticed that shield cancelling with the sword has seemed to have broken as well, and also needs to be fixed. When attack-switching weapons while shielding, the attack animation fails to play. Let me try to explain:
If I have out my Divine Avenger or Gran Faust, initiate the first attack then quickly hit X to shield-cancel, while switching to my Barbarous Thorn Blade to release another attack, first swing of the Barbarous Thorn Blade, the first swing animation won't play and will instead perform the shielding animation.
One very last bug is pretty simple: When charging any Flourish or Snarble Barb line, the first swing doesn't happen but instead goes immediately into charging. From looking at the animation, you can clearly see this is a bug as the animation attempts to play but fails to do so. This also needs to be fixed!
What you forgot to mention is that the speed of the Flourish line's charge has also, I think, been decreased. This needs proof tho.
