Yes, lets compare video games to oil.

Video games are a service industry. Oil is not.
The oil industry sells oil. They have to make good oil and turn more profit than there compeditors. If they 'played nice' they wouldn't make enough money. Video games are different. They sell entertainment. That almost requires them to 'play nice', unless their target audience is completely masochistic.
OOO needs to set up a system where the C price is reasonable. Am I saying we shouldn't have a free market? No. Am I saying we even have a free market? Also no. The fact is that crown and CE sinks control the CE prices direction much more than players. I'll admit that players could do better when using the market by simply setting their own prices, but there's more weight on OOO's side of the table.

A free market is a market which is free from government influence. In this case the government would be OOO.
True, we don't have a free market, OOO has taxes on auctions, and subsidises new players with the gear in rank missions.

LOL. This must be a joke. Capitalism is indeed a very flawed system. Free Captialism, like the user above me states, is what this game seems to have. Just look at the CE market. A handful of players can easily tip the prices. A handful of the wealthiest players.
Which prices are you referring to anyway?
