[Edited to remove confusion about location of SK servers. --Geekfox]

I was not having a good session tonight. I was getting constant sporadic lag, which caused my player and monsters to warp around the screen, and the game continually keeps cancelling my actions in-game. I can't remember how many times I have to click on pots or minerals just to pick it up -- I keep getting bounced back without carrying a pot or mineral -- and it was not allowing me to revive a player the first time I clicked a downed player.

I haven't had this menacing lag issue few days ago. I had a smooth connection and lag-free experience with Spiral Knights' EU server. I literally cannot finish FSC and I had trouble defeating the boss in Operation Crimson Hammer. Some players in my party was having the same lag issue from this server as well.

So I'm asking if anyone was experiencing multiple lags today, or could it be that the routing servers from Ireland to Qatar that's getting the chokes (a.k.a "just me").

Spiral Knights has a server in Ireland? Do you mean the European server?

The European server has always been in Ireland? It's been a month since I used Windows Resource Monitor to find out where the servers are located. I could've sworn there were UK ones in Spiral Knights' server rotation or something.

There are only 2 servers. One in Ireland and one in Virginia.

Just played a session today, but it's not any better than yesterday. While running around I get a weird kick movement that feels like I'm tripping over invisible stones, minerals keep slipping out of my hand while trying to pick it up, and I had to poke the inventory chest the fourth time to actually open the inventory window...

How well does it work on the US server?

With a 450ms ping to US server, it would be no better. Shielding and dodging would be non-existent.

This is weird. I can't say I'm at fault. I've joined a TF2 server located in Kuwait, and I got no lag from it. I joined a Half-Life: Sven Co-op server located in UK and still no lag. I joined a Spiral Knights session located in Ireland, and all the sporadic skipping is making me rage.

So far, no one else has confirmed that SK in Europe is getting a constant lag or not.

Pinging to UK: No problem there. http://www.pingtest.net/result/69453435.png

Pinging to Ireland: Doesn't look good. http://www.pingtest.net/result/69453476.png

I think it's something to do with your ISP. There is no way your jitter should be that high.

Rangerwill, do you regularly play on US or Europe server? And where are you playing from?

I think there might be an issue with Amazon's Ireland server. Earlier, 66% of eu-west-1 failed the test: http://ec2-reachability.amazonaws.com/

There is a post about certain outages affecting some connectivity with Amazon's eu-west-1 servers: https://forums.aws.amazon.com/thread.jspa?threadID=103543

Can you play around in Advanced Training Hall on Europe server and find out if you're getting odd kicks when moving around?

Thanks, but I would like others to test it or speak their words as well, especially those reside in Europe/Asia region.
