Hi Nick: I want to propose you something. Please don’t allow the use of auto aim (AA) in lockdown. A non auto aim lockdown would be more interesting and challenging because people would play with skill in order to be good. Current lockdown is just annoying and insane: Lots of players mashing the attack button like there was no tomorrow and hitting all nearby players without even looking/aiming at them.
Also I think it would balance classes a little more because the dominant class is striker. Why the striker? Because is the fastest with the attack button of course. Guardians are slow and recons can be found easily by shooting a single bullet in the air (which happens to hit them a lot thanks to AA).
If all of that wasn’t enough, this unfair advantage has created and open war in chats between: allow AA (“blame the game not the player” or “you have better equipment than me so I have the right to use it”) and ban AA (“auto aim is for noobs”).
So after all I think that auto aim/auto target should be banned in lockdown. Although I find it very useful in PVE because players don’t get annoyed and it helps new players to learn the mechanics of the game too (or play in a different way like gamepads).
I’m looking forward for your answer. Please consider it. No players will be harmed after all :D

I play Guardian in LD. Strikers are laughable at best. If you know how to use a class then AA won't make a difference, you'll beat the opponent.

How can they not learn? Well they need to start out by practicing how to aim, then slowly, they won't need it, making easier targets. If theres no AA, newbs will have trouble aiming and targeting the enemy. They need to get used to AA, then they will decide to take it off.
Besides, I don't use AA

Before you ask, I don't use AA anyway.
1. One flaw with the OP: Cloaked recons are not affected by AA.
2. As Benightz said (thank you), how will people who are gunners but can't aim learn to? How will newbs learn to aim? How will people using only keyboard controls aim? How will LD be fair for those with extreme lag?
3. With a good tactic/reasonable level of skill/weapon, Strikers are a JOKE. Seriously. Especially if they're Dusker-toothpick-tri-heart users with a Kilowatt Pulsar who thinks that makes them invincible.
(3.5. Use the Haze Bomb. Strikers never see it coming (ie. they are rendered just about useless for 3 seconds) and this will leave them at your mercy. +1 to Doctorspacebar)
4. As you'd know if you played Recon well, a good Recon can keep half the team occupied for up to two minutes. Recons against Strikers? A recon better than the striker can beat them (there is an absolute lack of skilled Strikers in T2 LD. Someone please fix this). I don't know about Guardians, but I'd say a skilled one could do that equally as well as a Recon. True, Striker modules may be a little OP, but they can be countered relatively easily.
5. @OP: If you care this much about LD, just optimize yourself and stop whining. It'd make us all happier.
Firstly, striker is not OP. we has no shields D: you should see the amount of people who just dash around in circles panicking trying to escape recons.
A good guardian is OP. dey has a shield and if they time their attacks, strikers will never get a single hit on them. I know this because I play all 3 classes.
now for recons, they have bomb bonuses. you should've seen guanchi recon with RSS. 16k per game when I was playing with him. blame the RSS nerf, not the class.
one more thing. Recons are assassins, not front line players. if you swap out 2 health trinkets for 2 damage or asi trinkets, I guarantee you will do alot better (assuming you learn how to be less predictable).
I agree about the 3 hit comboers but seriously, if you are even half decent, you'll be able to deal with them (even if they have maxed out uv's)
and AA actually hinders people that use slow guns. (polaris, drivers, etc.) it may give them an edge on 1v1 but against a whole group, they would be hitting the wrong people, getting them killed.
AA actually does work quite well with drivers. Goes with my close-range gunning style.

First off, everyone wants to have their posts read by the devs. You are selfish for your title. Next up, if someone wants to play with AA, they should be welcome to. I'd like to see it possible to have options to disable AA in custom matches, since I don't personally use it and find it more fun when people don't, but it's a nice feature that makes it much easier to jump into LD and do okay at it, and it is a necessity for a controller user. Just using AA doesn't mean someone has no skill at LD, there is still movement skill involved and you still have to roughly keep the mouse over your opponent. AA doesn't target cloaked recons, the fact that you think this shows you have never actually used AA in LD to find out how it works. Classes should be balanced, but not by someone who has almost zero experience with how LD actually works.

None of the classes in lockdown are OP in my opinion (Just realized OP and Opinion start with the same letter XD). If a person is good at all of the classes you might as well nerf all of them. I've seen some strikers make the miserable (yet very informative) mistake of swinging twice or using up their dash bar too quickly. Some guardians think that their shield is unbreakable and start walking into the most ridiculous of situations. A few recons mistaken their cloak for a "Shield that blocks all damage as well as stops players from seeing you".
But again, if a person is able to use these classes efficiently (and trust me, there are a lot out there) then what you are saying is "lets nerf all the classes".

Plug your MOUSE out and use arrow keys to move, not WASD keys, arrow keys at the bottom of the right shift key. DO NOT use mouse to aim and TURN OFF AA...
Z button to attack, X button to shield/boost, space key to switch weapon..
You can face only 8 directions with arrow keys, it is almost impossible to aim properly without AA+mouse eh?

Yes, I am an AA user, BUT I don't use mouse..I don't even have one since I have been on laptop for my whole life and I'm not used to control computer with mouse.
(Not many people notice that I'm using AA unless when I use full combo of Final Flourish)

I can dodge AA people. So, if you don't like it, don't use it. If you are mad at the other players using AA, find a LD match where it doesn't have anybody using AA. Don't like it? Then DONT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT IT FOR GOD SAKES -_-
