Well, I don't see the real colors of the jellies and the slimes. I was told that the latest java may fix it, but it didn't. Please, have a look at this screen. How can I fix it? It's not fatal but it's definitely annoying.

This should be in Technical Support.
This is a problem related to the graphics hardware in your computer. The quick thing to try would be to toggle Compatibility Mode on trough Options -> Gerenal -> Advanced Video Options. If this does not work you should obtain the most up to date graphics driver from the graphics card manuacturer. Instructions are laid out in the Technical Help Sticky.
