hey i got some common questions:

1: how many floors is vanaduke, and how many crowns do you get per floor?
2: what is the best elemental sword line? (shocking edge maybe...)
3: which is better, nightblade line or faust line?
4: how rare is it to find a love puppy?

1: how many floors is vanaduke, and how many crowns do you get per floor?

It's four preliminary levels (depths 24-27) followed by the boss level (depth 28). I don't know the payout per level, but the first four levels total about 8,000-8,500 crowns. The boss level is at least 3,000 crowns, because the tokens are worth 1,000 each in lots of 30.

2: what is the best elemental sword line? (shocking edge maybe...)
3: which is better, nightblade line or faust line?

You may be interested in my detailed sword guide. Also, search the forums for these frequently asked questions. If you need some personalized equipment advice, ask on the Arsenal forum.

4: how rare is it to find a love puppy?

I've been playing the game almost every day for 17 months. I've found maybe 10-15 love puppies --- fewer than 20 certainly.

Some is subject to opinion.

1. Five floors. The payout of the entire level used to be equal to the price of 100 CE.
2. Depends - do you like PVP? If you wouldn't go near it with a very long bargepole, then the Glacius may be for you, or the Divine Avenger for defensive players (or, if you bought OCH, I hear the hammer's pretty good). If you like PVP and can't get enough of it, get the Voltedge. Least, that's my opinion.
3. Depends on your playstyle. If offensive, Nightblade. If defensive, Faust.
4. Finding a love puppy? I'd say <10% chance. Don't plan your strategy around them.

Much less than 10%, I'd say

Much less than 10%, I'd say it's more in the ballpark of 1 in 1000 turret spawns.

Best elemental sword. The

Best elemental sword.

The best is RWH (Rocket War Hammer)
It has the highest damage per second. It takes getting used to but it is the most damage dealing. If you can't handle it, probably Divine Avenger or a brandish line based upon preference and nothing else.

Love puppies are rare to about less than 1% I want to say.

Best elemental sword is

Best elemental sword is preference. I like my hammer, but I love my CTR max DA and Voltedge. Kinda hard to compare to brandish charge spans.

WRH

The best is RWH (Rocket War Hammer) It has the highest damage per second.

I can't make this happen, either through complete combos or through shield-canceling the third stroke. On the dash (the second stroke), do you land more than one hit per monster? How many hits do you land on the second stroke?

@Bopp

The true damage is in the dash. If you can back up a monster then dash you deal a chain of damage against it. Love doing this in LD I always get an instant kill with the chain. And the most I got in the chain was 4 hits.

clarify further please

So you hit a target, doing just the first stroke and the second stroke (not the third stroke) of the combo. Presumably one damage number pops up for the first stroke. How many damage numbers pop up for the second stroke? Are you saying three? Four?

I'm trying to figure out exactly how much damage can be done in an almost-combo of WRH. Because if the second stroke produces only one damage number, then the DPS arising from almost-comboing WRH is not impressive at all.

just ran some tests

The reason why this confuses me is that shield canceling often seems to "hide" the damage numbers from the second stroke, so that I never see them. But I just ran some tests against a giant lichen on depth 16. Pretty consistently, I was able to get one damage number from the first stroke, and three damage numbers from the second stroke.

︻╦̵̵͇̿̿̿̿╤■== ● ● ● ۝ ۝ ۝ BOOM BOOM BOOM

1-5 floors; 1 boss stage, 4 other stages and core at end.
2-Depends on what; for PvP, Divine Avenger; for PvE, Combuster.
3-Depends on what again. for PvP, Faust; for PvE, nightblade line.
4-Truly Rare. Found about 8 and playing for almost 7 months.
