Drake Scale Shield - Drake Scale equipment

Isn't it odd that the Drake Scale Shield does not offer any attack speed increase while the Helm and Mail of that set both offer an attack speed increase: high? Just thinking armor-set wise here, Drake Scale seems to be all about attack speed but the shield doesn't fit. Using Drake Scale Mail/Helm with a Swiftstrike shield isn't all that great either set-wise? :P

already considered 2 things:
1. it can give the bonuses at higher heat levels;
2. (more important than 1.), i don't remember any shield that gives positive bonuses rather than defense..so it was maybe to refer to the other shields at all?
But yes, seeing some shields with bonues that remember their sets would be good, even in a less powerfull version.

To 1, attack speed bonuses
To 1, attack speed bonuses don't seem to be added or increase for armor as far as I have seen. My drake scale helmet stayed identical except for the 1 health bonus increase.
For 2, the swiftstrike buckler! It has sword attack speed increase: Ultra :P I just find it more suiting for the drake scale armor set, since everything except for the shield there has a sword attack speed bonus.

I don't think so, it offers pretty high Fire resistance, as well as a unique resistance typing.
It seems balanced to me.

Yeah it's true for it's defense values.
I just find it a pitty because I bought the drake scale outfit for its attack speed bonus, and now I'm left with wielding that very unfashionable swiftstrike buckler. It's something I'll have to accept I suppose. :p

maybe a shield visual slot
like the ones for armors >_<...for now, it's the only thing i can think...and yes, the drake scale shield is well balanced with the set, i must agree.
Drake Scale + Sinister Skelly = All Armour coverage.
Now you don't have to feel bad about using your Swiftstrike Buckler.
Just get some Trinkets and you'll be sweet.
