I was playing lockdown a lot today(very much a lot, got to #47 on the leader board for this week and this is the only day I've played ld in a week or so) and as I was trying to fend off a Recon in Forest, I noticed dark spots on the ground moving as if they were following me. When the Recon uncloaked, I noticed he was standing right where I last saw the dark spots, and then it hit me, the spots are footprints! I'm not sure if this is intentional or not, but it's there, and I'm deciding to let people know, not because I want Recons to be more underpowered, but because this is a helpful strategy, such as others that have been told. Also, it's not easy to read the footsteps, as the textures of the ground could easily hide them. Also, this works as a heads up to all Recons, because you aren't as invisible as you think you are :l

I noticed something similar while spectating. My assumption is that it's a particle, as the Recon in question was wearing Frostbreaker.
I couldn't recall having seen something like this before though; can anyone else confirm that they've seen this?
I've seen it too, but it was probably in the same game you were spectating. I think they got it on video though.
Sounds like a bug actually. Recons did not previously leave any trail when moving while cloaked.

now recons are underpowered
i knew that..but i didnt want to tell because recons would be easier to find xD
especialy im a recon gunner
I run on low graphics, with vertical sync the only advanced option enabled.
In that previous game, I only noticed the trail very briefly. I've been playing a bunch of Recon (in full Dusker) since then, and haven't seen anything out of the ordinary.
Thanks for graveyarding this lightyourfire C=
Youve saved recons!
Is it a kind of particle effect, like volcanic armors leaving embers or nameless? What was the recon wearing?
