So... do shield defenses add to armor defenses passively, or are the stats on the shield only subject to when you're defending with it? The thought just occurred to me and I'm curious.

Shield defenses only apply to shield health. Shield resistances apply to the player constantly.

To sort of piggyback off of that, how do status resistances on shields work? It seems like if you block an attack you don't get a status effect anyway. Is that wrong?
