Hello all! I am Pokenuevo and you probably don't know who I am. Being a forumer and constant-gamer (especially on SK), it was kind of difficult to leave the game for a bit. I've been busy myself with tennis matches, school, physical therapy, etc. Anyways, I'd like to know how much you think SK has evolved from last winter until now. And if you weren't here that long, then tell me what you've seen/heard. I'm going to start playing SK again, but this is just for me to see (and possibly others).
Some possible topics to discuss in your response:
Are Danger Missions worth it?
Prize Boxes?
Balancing weapons?
PvP (more BN than LD)?
Missions? Expansion?
Shard Bomb changes?
Evolution of this Game
"therapy"
I know how that goes. Last time I went in for a checkup I was talking about my dreams, especially this one w-
"physical therapy"
Oh.
How was that?
Did it involve slithering carnivorous armadillos?
"Go through and answer this interrogation order."

Pretty good payouts, not too long, and we have about six of them. Instead of making a major new feature of the game they decided to make a bunch of these little things only higher end players will care about. As a short term solution there is nothing wrong with them, but there are a few too many unfulfilled promises yet to be addressed.
Flourish had its first basic swing nerfed by about a fourth of a space. Nick said it was unintentional but almost everyone loves it, including people who actually use it. Other than that nothing really happened yet.
Another money grab. Personally, I would rather they made the game comfortable for all kinds of players then introduce something as an incentive to buy their toys without shoving it in our faces. At least they know to only have costumes and cosmetic stuff in the packs, but an actual update for the game would be more welcome than some reskinned cosmetics.
A lot of people still think the focus of this game is Lockdown. Not much different from when you left.
Missions are still keeping energy prices up, the Seerus one is still forever alone.
See here.
Have been away since around about the time they introduced OCH; only been back a few days now, but I've been pleased with most of te changes. The Shards (being one of the first things I noticed) pissed me off and am continued to be irritated by it, but most of the other stuff is good. It's good that they introduced dailies finally, especially since they're not just three identical missions each day, and the danger missions are good fun, if wholly unrewarding. OCH has been great fun too, esp. since it comes in three tiers.
In my opinion, since SK started they've done more good than bad, and I like seeing nice wee changes and new things pop up to make the game better. I just wish they'd paid more attention to the dozen pages of people that said "NO! Don't change RSS, we like it!"...
Oh hey, welcome back.
- Danger missions are hard but worth it. Stagger Storm is especially invaluable against Almirian Crusaders, you can actually kill them with the pure damage from the blast. It's mildly amusing to watch them flail in slo-mo.
- Prize Boxes give out UV tickets. Lots of UV tickets. Prepare for rage when opening.
- Big Angry and Irontech have stun, guns and bombs have slightly more damage, toothpicks have a .25 range nerf so they actually match animation, Shards have been seriously nerfed, ISB is actually useful, Alchemer switching is not working as well.
- You can now stalk people in PvP.
- Missions and Expansion... still no extra expansions. Missions finish at Vanaduke, causing CE prices to continue going up even faster than they already were. There was a crown drop nerf, but it didn't change much.
- See Luguiru's link. It's more concise than anything I could say.
I actually have questions...
cab we cownload Sk with out steam?
How?
Because when i download spiralknights it makes me download steam
Welcome back!
Danger missions are pretty fun to play and much harder than most of the stuff you see. It's definitely worth doing though since it is a prestige mission you can only play it once(though there are ways around it).
Prize boxes are just the new type of promo they're doing to get you to spend more.
Weapons are pretty much the same. I believe you were around for those gun and bomb buffs right?
PvP is the same just with the new spectate feature.
Missions are mostly redesigns of existing levels though a few are unique. The expansion is just some more levels and give you some special weapons.
The shard bombs were redesigned as an AoE bomb and now do pure damage types.
