The Ce market was clearly glitched this morning. as it rose to 10m crowns per 100. this couldn't have been player driven, was clearly a glitch. i have talked to knight who have made 10m crowns selling a small sum of CE.

The game needs a roll back to before the Glitch occured. OOO we need immediate action. Freeze the game, go down for maintenance and roll it back. You cannot allow such a glitch in this economy. I apologize to anyone who profited off this and is upset that this needs to be done. BUT IT DOES.

If you guys let this thing fly without any effort to put it to rights, then this morning's alt crafting session will most likely be my last time to log in. I sure hope you do the right thing on this.

I didnt realize it went up that high. I sold some CE at 10.5k cr per, and i thought, someone must be quitting and dumping it all into the market. Seeing those numbers being put up now, this will heavily damage things.

I took advantage of it. And

I took advantage of it. And tbh, I don't really care if a rollback happens.

But what I definitely agree on is, we need clarification from OOO.

How can it be a glitch?

It seems implausible to me. A glitch that causes all CE to get bought up, repeatedly, minutes apart? I doubt it. Someone must have been clicking that buy button, for whatever reason.

wait what?

10 million crowns for 100 crystal energy...?

I haven't logged in to actually see this yet, but when you say you've talked to knights that actually had a successful sale of 100 CE entails that someone just blew 10 million crowns to acquire the 100 crystal energy, which I find very hard to believe. Can you post a pic validating this?

btw - admitting to 'alt crafting' doesn't really help your case.

They can rollback if they wish, as long as they return everyone's money who bought a CE pack during the -glitch-. I still never did see that 10m per 100 though. I never saw it got higher than 100k per 100. I would like a screenshot of it though. Because I made about 2.2M during this and that was from selling CE at 50k and a rich player quitting could easily do that.

Off to work. I'll see if it is rolledback when I get home or if I have even more crowns. And if it is rolled back return everyone's money that bought a CE pack during it.. since I never saw it go above 100k I can't say it was glitched or not myself.

to elaborate

i have guildmates (to remain nameless) who sold at 498k and 500k.

I talked to another knight who sold a lot at 10m crowns.

Another friend sold 31k ce for 8m crowns.

I profited off this as well,

I profited off this as well, and I still believe it should be rolled back. It just doesn't make any sense.

i don't have pics

but in another thread knights confirmed it got up to 10m crowns. And i have confirmation, but not screen shots, that some sold now for 498k and 500k per 100. As well as numerous testimonials of sells around 100k per with the sell now button. Which is why i am sure this was a glitch in the system.

If nothing is done to fix this, then i'm done. I have worked too hard for too long, over a year now, to get where i am at. If OOO will let others get that in 5 mins do to being home at an opportune time, while a glitch in the system occurred then that is the last straw. I refuse to be a part of this game.\

oh, and there is conveniently an unrelated update released within 45 mins of this strange activity.

Then it was either a glitch or a GM rage quitting their job. Anyway thanks for the screenshot. Off to work~ Also yeah I only logged on because my friend told me this was going on. I've literally done 1 run in the past 2 days because I got sick on SK again.

I profited off it too. 1 mil cr.

And I see no reason why it should be rolled back. It does not make very much sense to attribute this to a glitch. It came in waves, repeatedly. Someone must have done this. And if the cr with which s/he, or they, bought up the CE was legitimately arrived at, no wrong was done.

My guess is a fabulously wealthy quitting player deciding to massively troll the whole SK community via what is essentially a giveaway done through the market. Alternatively, someone who found some kind of exploit (in which case I suppose it is arguable, though not indisputable, that a rollback is appropriate) and dumped all that cr for the lulz.

Incidentally, this is hardly the first time being on at the right time has led to massive profits. Shard bomb patch says o hai.

if it got

up to 10m ......

and with confirmed sell now prices of 500k it had to be a glitch (i had trusted guildmates who confirmed this and wouldn't lie about it). i'm sure you don't want it rolled back as you were one of the people home and able to make millions of easy crowns off of it.

Of course, i would expect everyone who benefited from it to loudly yell down any thoughts of a roll back. Greed will always be greater than altruism.

I suspect you'll see a hole heck of a lot of people quit over this if they don't address it in a meaningful way. And before anyone asks, no, if i quit all my bound and unbound gear dies with me.

I'm with Rommil on this one.

I'm with Rommil on this one. If there isn't some response or some kind of TURN BACK, I'm quitting this game. The fact that this happened AT all is stupid.

Rommil, you wrong me.

I got a grand total of five tickets off the shard bomb patch. Others got hundreds. I did not support a rollback then, regardless.

I stated upfront that I profited in the interests of full disclosure. Had I the ulterior motive you attribute to me, I would surely not have mentioned it, and would in fact have denied it vigorously. No? Incidentally, if you're going to attribute my opposition to the rollback to the fact that I profited, I can surely attribute your support for the rollback to the fact that you failed to profit. . . .

I should also point out that while I'm not you or Pawn, I am, um, rather rich (though I have converted almost all the wealth I've gained into my treasured shinies). And the rest of my wealth--beside which 1 mil is really not much--was hard-earned.

Bottom line: I honestly don't see how it could be a glitch. It happened repeatedly, at uneven intervals (as far as I could tell). I think it must have been someone actually buying it. I could be wrong!

I wouldn't care either way,

I wouldn't care either way, but if a Rollback causes my Surge Box openings to be invalidated, I will be furious, since I got everything I wanted without dumping a fantastic amount of money into it. Otherwise, it was amusing to say the very least.

That being said, damn it feels good to be rich for a bit.

Doesn't look like a glitch...

Doesn't look like a glitch... looks like somebody managed to burn through almost all the "Sell CE" offers then dropped in whatever they wanted. "Sell CE" shows the lowest offers, while "Buy CE" shows the highest offers. Either to purposefully mess with the market, or as a last hurrah before quitting the game. It just shows that people were paying attention and took advantage of it.

If you burned through enough you'd empty out the trade, which has happened back in beta according to a guildee (I was not there for it). You do NOT need 10m to put that bid in Hellohippo's pic up on the trade. I could put up an offer like that right now and I have a whopping 31k at my disposal.

Aka... free market works.

@Wodanct

A rollback is just resetting a game to a particularly place and time (in this case before the glitch occurred), meaning it would be as if anything after say randomly 5am never happened. I.e. u'd have all your money and stuff etc that you had before the glitch.

@Derpules, ????????????? It does not make any sense to attribute this to anything other than a glitch. The idea that it was a player ragequitting is preposterous. Someone would have to have about 1 billion crowns. I don't think you are considering just how monstrous the numbers are. To raise a sell price to 10 million you crowns you have to clear all buy bids below 10 million crowns (roughly). Which would mean someone would actually have to click buy now on a 10 mil crown bid. Even one player trying to manipulate the market couldn't do this. Even if every member of unity and jempire and echo of silence ragequit at once we couldn't accomplish this.

Seriously Derp. Enable for this to work would mean that someone had to be clicking the wtb button for a 10mil ce bid about 10 times, for a 500k+ bid about 20 times, for 49k ce 20 times...the numbers don't add up. Do you actually think someone would ragequit by donating 2% (trade fee) of 1billion+ crowns back to OOO. no no no. Rethink what happened here and you will realize how silly that it.

There simply must be a rollback or the game was just destroyed. Enjoy watching AT LEAST 25% of the players quit.
Also, with no rollback on this glitch. It will be death of SK, as every heavy real world $$$ supporter of this game will never support again.

Heck, i wouldn't even be surprised if it could be grounds for a class action lawsuit via emotional suffering and distress. I'm not saying it is, i'm just saying i wouldn't be surprised if there was a precedent for this in the judicial system. I'm not a litigious person myself. I'd simply leave the game if this isn't fixed.

Yeah but purchases not

Yeah but purchases not officiated specifically through SK itself (i.e. through Steam Wallet) would be a bit more difficult to refund anyway.

However, if it were truly a glitch, it'd still be happening because I guarantee you someone would take it and run with it as much as possible after throwing that kind of figure up. 1 million crowns isn't exactly a subtle figure, you know.

@ gwen

all speculation.

This is why we need an immediate answer from OOO. And perhaps for them to take the game down for maintenance while they investigate what happens.

Rather for them to once again quietly set back and say nothing, completely ignoring perhaps one of the most game-breaking things to ever occur on the game. (if it was a glitch).

Again, there was once a glitch where an arena gave out infinite crowns. There was once a glitch where CE was not consumed no matter what you did (bought items, purchased slots, etc..). So its not like this is unheard of.

It is entirely possible, altho completely implausible, that some uber rich player decided to give away all their crowns for 10k ce before quitting, or that someone bought out EVERY OFFER TO SELL. But again, i see these options as amazing implausible. OOO really needs to weigh in. And again, if they don't know what happen, take the game down for a few hours while they sort this out.

If it was a glitch, then rollback. If it was an amazing case of market manipulation, then some action should be taken (i'm not so arrogant as to tell them what action they should take). And if it was just guy/or syndicate with 500m to 1 billion crowns that decided to blow it all to screw up the system for 25 minutes, well, then tell us that. (tho i cannot imagine in a million years that last option is the answer.)

Well, we'll see.

You think it's a glitch, I think not. *shrug* If you're right, I won't complain if there's a rollback. Simple as that.

It's rather hard to estimate how much was actually spent on this (if it was indeed "spending" and not just a glitch swallowing all the offers). How many multi-million cr sell offers were there to begin with? Perhaps not that many. I didn't think to shoot that high, even though I was in the thick of it. The vast majority of existing offers would be in the 9-20kcr range; once people saw what was happening, yes, they threw up high offers, but I'm guessing most of us put up offers in the 100kcrs rather than in the millions.

So without the logs, we simply can't tell how much was spent (or "spent"). It could have been a billion, in which case you're probably right. But it could also have been a hundred million, or a couple hundred million, in which case it seems--to me--plausible to have been the work of a player or group of players. People spend currency in strange ways; I can see the attraction in making SK history and setting the whole community aflame. Worth spending a fortune to do? I dunno. Not to me, but I would never try to roll double-max groundbreaker, either. . . .

In any case, OOO knows the truth and nothing we say can change that, so there's little point getting personal about this.

"Enjoy watching AT LEAST 25%

"Enjoy watching AT LEAST 25% of the players quit."

Hahaha... most of the player base doesn't even know about it. The forums have less then 10% of the player base. And those of us that do know about what happened can look at the stuff and tell it was somebody derping around and not a glitch.
