Looking at the sealed sword line
I noticed that when you upgrade a sword
One of the eyes on the hilt lights up according to your direction
Avenger-Yellow
Faust-Purple
There are two of these eyes, to fully unlock the swords power you unlock both of them
Shouldn't we be able to have two different types of those eyes then?
Like an elemental/shadow weapon?
Going Avenger first would give it more elemental power?
Going Faust first would give it more shadow power?

Now keep in mind this isn't a suggestion
Just a logical analysis
Unless once you start unlocking the weapon's power you can only move one direction
Thoughts?

If you haven't already, I recommend checking the wiki for more details on the Sealed Sword lines. It sounds like you're hitting close to the concept already.

Avenger/Divine Avenger do normal damage and elemental damage

Faust/Gran Faust do normal damage and shadow damage

Exactly. You can't make both out of one Sealed Sword - ie, once you make an Avenger out of your Sealed Sword, you can only upgrade to DA and you will only do normal + elemental type damage. In order to get both, you will need two separate Sealed Swords.

I don't think having a half-normal, quarter-elemental, quarter-shadow weapon would be very effective...

Quarter normal, quarter

Quarter normal, quarter piercing, quarter shadow, quarter elemental.

A completely pointless weapon.

Its pure special damage, but half elemental and half shadow

This is based mainly on concept, not on what the game has to offer right now
I know you can only make the Divine Avenger from an Avenger and Gran Faust from a Faust
But if you think about it, your just unlocking a dormant power inside the weapon
Shouldn't you be able to awaken a holy and a shadow power on the weapon?
If this is based purely on concept

No. It's not hiding two different powers, it has one generic "sealed magic power" in it, and you're choosing how to channel it.

I wouldn't mind seeing a true

I wouldn't mind seeing a true successor to the sealed sword though... perhaps with a random status effect on the sword beams like the sealed's charge attack.
