That's because he's the CEO
That's because he's the CEO of OOO and all their games, as well as a high-ranking employee at SEGA. He doesn't have the time and leaves the actual game design to Nick.

Who ever said anything about game design?
I'm just saying I haven't seen him visit much. I know he's married and has an infant but, I really miss the great man. He use to visit Whirled.com a social game site prior to Spiral Knights for maybe 10-15 minutes every now and then. Everyone would visit him and give appreciation for his work.

The only time I ever talked
The only time I ever talked to him in-game was after he finished walking his dogs.
That's all I remember from the conversation the we had.
That he has two dogs. And he takes them for walks.
Off doing CEO things and having his own empty folder in the game files.
