I love how people are interested in a 4* shield when you can get much cooler, much bigger and overall much better shields at 5*.

Hell, even the Heater Shield (worst 5* elemental shield) has more elemental resistance than the Darkfang Shield.

People are interested in it for its extreme rarity and its symbol of status, not, by any stretch, for its mediocre defense.

I suppose, arguably, for gameplay reasons, but then again, the only real time where you'd really care about what someone else is really wearing is in a form of PvP that doesn't even use shields. If you see someone with an abnormally strong iron bucker, you know that you're either lagging to all hell, or that someone has a better shield under the costume.

I actually own a Darkfang however would never sell mine. I spent 14 months looking before I actually got mine.

A tip to those hunting: They seem to appear in Tier 3 deconstruction zones, in boxes only. (Gremlins themselves do not drop them)

Currently only 7 were known to have been found and they are owned by: Unity, Kuger, Biscotti, Benjamin, Nebhet, Hellohippo, and the final one owned by a friend of Benjamin's, who's name is not known. There may have been previous owners, but by this point have gone so far inactive that the hopes of seeing their shields are slim to none.

Anyone wishing to see this shield themselves, Feel free to contact me in-game as I always have mine on my back. I generally hang out around Haven 25 (french haven) or wherever my guild members are.

aside from the fact that's a pretty small bounty, I think there might possibly be 2 items more rare than the darkfang shield now: prismatic scarf and volcanic scarf. the only ones I ever saw or heard of were in the featured scarf auction. I could have missed one sometime but idk.
