This is a fairly uncommon room in the Clockwork Tunnels, but I'm willing to bet that most of you have at least seen it before. The way you get there is via a switch which opens a set of gates that let you go up there and hit the button. But, if a teammate hits the switch, or you hit it with a pot, you can get stuck while. Now, obviously I have my GF, whose charge I can shoot at the switch, vials, and teammates, but regardless, if you get up there, you have a very real chance to get stuck.

I've been meaning to bring this up for a while now, but I only now got around to doing it.

Lol! I think that we need more places like that, to be honest. I like the idea of the clockworks being a death trap, designed to kill you, rather than a large puzzle with walking treasure boxes and magically reappearing pots.

Are we cheering that there's

Are we cheering that there's a flaw? Shouldn't we be doing the exact opposite, or am I wildly misunderstanding the concept of being a gamer?

Huh...

I've come across this sort of room a number of times, but... It never occured to me that one could actually get stuck there. That is rather peculiar. Respawning pots sure are useful to have for situations like these, huh? Maybe we should apply some in that particular room.

I don't have any screenshots

I don't have any screenshots of the area on this computer, but there's a ghost block puzzle in Clockwork Tunnels that can get you stuck if you happen to be in one of the corners.
Something like this:
G = ghost block
[ ] = respawning block
S = area you can get stuck in, indefinitely if only one standing

Three Rings has done quite a bit to prevent things like this; I remember several patches which all had several small fixes for stuff like this. Make a thread in the Bug Reports or Suggestions forum and this will very likely be addressed in the near future.

Espeonage - Somebody else had a screenshot of that, and yeah. I'm surprised that hasn't been fixed yet, too.

Wow...

The funny thing is this happened to all 4 of us in this one level. You see there are 9 gates in total and 3 switches that correspond with them. What happened was this. We all went between these two retracted gates and then I stupidly shot a switch. Then we all got stuck as the gates came up. We tried freeing ourselves but it was to no use. If we left and came back we would spawn between the two gates :3 So then GM Hyperion came and he noted the bug. Then he gave us a free tab for the next level :)

I would welcome more death

I would welcome more death traps like that.

Actually, I want rooms where your only way to get out is... to die.
You are allowed to revive yourself (and only yourself, no help from other people) to avoid the trap again.

But well, let's make it as user friendly as we can, right guys?

heh.

I love it when that glitch comes along in a level with my partner stuck in it.

I usually leave him to rot and finish the rest.

These places...

...were meant for torture of you Knights. We tweaked the clockworks a bit for your hatred. We love you, too.
