Hi guys,

As many of you know, due to recent events (won't go into the details) I have become disenchanted with Spiral Knights--well, actually OOO. At first i had intended to quit entirely, but i don't wish to be the latest in a long list of people who declare, high on mount pious, that they are done and never coming back. Even worse, then retequizzle would come in here and snidely remark "cool, see you tomorrow." (which i have always gotten a kick out of).

So for now, I'll not claim to quit, but am merely taking a hiatus from the game. After many moons away, if i feel that my life is lacking for not having the camaraderie of you guys, and the grind of a few more games, then i may come back. If i still feel as i do now, then it'll be time to reevaluate, and start the final transition out of the game.

In this effort, I deleted my friend's list this afternoon. Please don't take offense, its not that i don't still <3 you all. If i kept you guys on there then i'll inevitably come back and use this game as a chat service. My wonderful friends are what made this game so truly magical over this last year and half. Especially these last 4-6 months or so, as I have become somewhat notorious being on but never "playing." I am glad to say that I built a lasting friendship with so many of my fellow knights. Some have become something of pen-pals (type-pals? Since its all emails, lol). Others will be part of my gaming family as i move on to other online MMOs or Xbox games. Many are now facebook friends--even though i'm fairly inactive on there. And others, i'll probably lose touch with entirely, but that doesn't mean i will remember you any less fondly.

If i do come back, I'll slowly re-add all of you, as we cross paths again. If i don't come back, SK will hold a fond and nostalgic memory in my heart (especially you Rommil and Pawn).

I was able to talk to a great many of you in-game, and let you know why I was doing this. But i didn't get to touch everyone in a one on one conversation, which is in part why i'm posting here. If we didn't get to tie up loose ends, I apologize. If you hear someone complaining that i deleted them, and that don't know the back story (at least the part placed here), please let them know on my behalf.

For those of you inclined to be the first to post "who are you again?" I'm someone who made a great many friends and acquaintances during my time here. And i'm sorry if you don't know me, i wish we'd had a chance to meet and chat. The community of SK far outshines the game, the longer we play at it, the more evident this becomes.

Thanks for everyone who has wished me well. Thanks to Corp Meltdown, my first true home, and every successive iteration we enjoyed. Thanks to Heron for taking me and Pawn under his wing, and taking us through Vanaduke for the first time ever. It would take to long to list everyone, but thank you to all.
