Hey there! D'you guys ever wish you could play GvG without getting matched up against the Jempire's terrifying Skolver team? How about just non-t3 GvG? Well, I'm trying to help change that.

I'm part of the Night's Watch; if you don't play t1ld much you may not know us, but we're pretty big fans of the genre. Unfortunately, we don't have too many other guilds to GvG against...

So! I'm making this post to try to corral interest in a more active t1 GvG scene. I know that Tier Zero and Rogue have both expressed interest in t1 GvG, but I'm hoping I can rope other guilds in too.

Guildmasters! Speak to your guilds. Let them know there's a new game in town.

And if there's enough interest, I'll probably run a tournament. Wouldn't that be swell?

hey, I'm a tier 1 LD player and I'm really interested in this idea. But unfortunately, the guild i'm in isn't too active to do GvG's. Would any guild participating be interested in having me for this competition? I'm pure gunner and usually get around 1.6K in t1.

Tdlob (part of Rogue) created

Tdlob (part of Rogue) created the guild Golza for this purpose. Admittedly, almost all the knights in Golza are alts because the T1 hardcores had their main knights already in guilds... But perhaps Golza could be used so interested people not in LD guilds like Littlerocketman could participate?

Other guilds I've seen with quite a few members in T1 LD a couple times are Valkyrian Guard and, I think it was, Aurora. But I don't know if that was just a one off thing or if they are actually T1 LD hardcores themselves.

Edit: Hang on. Vagueabond, I'm pretty sure you're in Golza, too. =p

I used to have an alt in Golza... But I just play on Weege now. Vaguea! Get to pestering Tdlob about it and I'll be sure to bring it up from time to time. A lot of us in Rogue love T1 LD and I'm sure we could get some matches going! Make sure to bring that bomber of yours though... I can't recall his name but I want someone to duel with! 8D

Funny you should mention Golza

Oh the irony, Vagueabond is actually a member. However that is a good point, should any guild desire to get some T1 LD GvG together we already have that set up as a means to do so.

Alternatively, as the cheese knight just mentioned. Our guild of Rogues tends to enjoy T1 LD quite frequently. If you want to pull your hatchet out of the armory and get a chance to take a vacation from the pokers. Hit us up, we would be happy to acquaint.

T1 LD games are usually on between 9pm-3am GMT usually, so being in the UK is no excuse!
(This is on the US server though, never played a T1 game on EU)

Unless you have a life.... Damn I need to get me one of those, they seem like a blast...

Oh and Tdlob is slacking, he hardly plays T1 LD any more. Just thought I'd tell you guys so the next time he does you can kick his [cog] extra hard. He deserves it!

Proto only is will restrict interest don't ya think? Idk, but anyway, It seems as though Tier 1 LockDown (that's Tier 0 for you spectators :)) is picking up momentum in popularity. Today was a good day for T1 LD (2 games at a time for a couple of hours and sometimes had up to 6 spectators). so keep up the good work, and we'll hopefully get more interest :D

Proto only matches are FUN! And not for the fainthearted. ^^

If you want a truly balanced match, proto only is the way to go.

With everyone in the same gear I was able to see my weaknesses much more clearly, and I also found that I had to use different tactics and be much more teamwork orientated.

I would totally join a guild in a heartbeat (hear that, you Rogues? ^^) if it were to play a proto only GvG match. =3

Sounds fun, AD/Shadow AD are in!

Aeonic Doom/Shadow AD will do it .. we usually play t3, but have talked about trying t1 in the past to see what it is like (had same problem, never manage to find an opponent).

We're mainly EU in terms of time-zone, but currently recruiting for a US time-zone(ish) team also. In the meantime, if you are a US-based guild (and I guess so, if you're meeting with the Jemps in GvG) we'd be willing to alternate over the servers to make it fairer.

Send me (IGN Myrtle) a tell when you're making your team and I'll see what we can do. If I am not online you could also try, Prophe, chickenmommy, grandmoffpuppeteer, xxdragneel, stevacar .. or, if you see some other member(s) in haven ofc just ask them aswell :)

This goes to whoever else expressed interest in this (sorry haven't read all the replies in this thread yet) ;)

I'm an EU player mainly but.... only for T2. In T1 there aren't crazy effects and whatnot to REALLY slow down a computer so I really don't mind switching to the US server to play T1. Either way, almost every T1 game is on the US server. Plus, there aren't enough T1 EU players in Rogue for a guild team, I think there's only three EU players and one of them has only just started playing T2.

I've never been in a Proto only match but I'd definitely be up for it. If I can get a hold of a proto bomb that is- Oop wait I've got one :3

I've also been trying out the Pummel Gun as of late and I gotta say. I. LOVE. IT. The best gun I've ever used, I'm a bit disappointed the charge does about the same damage as a normal shot but oh well. I don't charge it often anyway. If anyone ever wants to gun in T1 give it a whirl.

And Miat, when the time comes, or before I guess.... Just ask one of our members, you'll hopefully be directed towards a Officer. If it's temporary I'd state that before hand. Heck just message me whenever a guild game goes down and I'll talk to someone about dragging you in for a while :P

That aside, I heard there was some proto LD last night. REALLY GUYS!?!?!? The one night I go to bed early because I have a Dentist appointment in the morning you decide to do PROTO LD! I'm hurt. Truly.

well i can talk to my guild (only 5 members and they don't really like or play LD) but we can definitely try to do some t1 gvg, i guarantee we'll be slaughtered tho, and i might even rage-quit if i die by a hammer! haha. but i am here to support t1 ALL THE WAY! :D
