Sure, not EVERYONE is meant to consume threads such as these. This is fine. Altho its more than idiotic to click on them, and come and post in them, if you don't care.
But, for the simple-minded, i shall explain this. People such as tersk, or snarkey, have a 100 person guild of good friends. they also have a competely full friend's list. Then, you can add to that, the people who frequent their forums and enjoy a sense of community with them. Also, they have 100s of other friends in game who are not on their list but are friends, ranging from the casual pleasant acquaintance, to trusted allies.
When one plans to quit, it would take how many hours to tell everyone good bye in person, as well as giving a reason, if one so chooses--like snarkey did. And that is IF everyone was online at once. But no, no one ever has their entire friends list on at once. So you'd have to spend weeks logging just to catch everyone, as well as keep a log of who you have said goodbye to and who you haven't.
Then you take that into consideration with the fact that Ters is a constant general discussion contributor, it would make no sense for him to spend half a month trying to contact everyone to say goodbye. And it makes all the sense in the world for him to post a thread saying goodbye to friends and forum goers.
What doesn't make sense? You people who think you are witty or clever racing eachother to be the first to say who are you? Makes even less sense for you to be on here calling someone a stuipd ho. If you don't know someone, or don't care if they are quitting, then don't click the thread, don't bother to post. Its not like it was unclear as to what this thread was going to contain. If you have any common sense try to exercise it.

@ the few mature people in here: I agree. So much kids in this game trying to get attention by posting goodbye threads to friends on public forums.
