What weapons should I use as a new starter?

Hello
I'm not exactly new to this game, I played when it first came out on Steam then stopped. Now I have reinstalled it and I'm starting fresh.
My arsonel:
Sword - nightblade (it looked like a katana, and who can't resist an Asian sword)
Shield - owlite shield (may switch to the snarblox one if i get enough tokens)
Helmet - wolver
Armor - non
Gun/Secondary item - stun gun (recommendations for a new gun would be helpful, or the snarblox sword cause it can shoot stuff with charge)

Is this set ok?
would appreciate some commendation for gun and armor

barbarious shield/owlite (I would want both)

Log way to go man,but stay

Log way to go man,but stay away from slow weapons unfilled later. Go autoguns, flourished, fast bombs, full Snarbolax w/ owlite sheild

Your dream is on the right track. Just keep upgrading until you reach 5*. The only thing you miss is a pierce sword.

^Yup.

Definitely get a Flourish or Snarble Barb. I suggest a Flourish--easier to find recs (they're in HoH) and you can buy minor-to-decent UVed Flourishes for cheap.
