Hi :)
So I crafted myself a max fire res ash tail cap and am unsure on how I should best use it.
The main question is: Skolver or Vog.
I have some pros and cons in mind for both choices, but wanted to hear some ideas from others.

Nope, no longer wasted on Vog Cub.
It appears shield resists aren't passive anymore, and will only apply when defending against attacks that inflict that status effect and that status effect only, such as a zombie's breath, or a chromalisk's goo. Maybe other attacks that inflict damage aswell, but I'm not sure. (the hell is the point of resists on shields if they work like this, though?) If you made that into a Vog Cub Cap, you'd be able to walk through Vanaduke's Fire Snakes without being set on fire. This is no longer possible with just the normal fire resist from Vog set.
I'm not sure if you'd gain significant immunity/resistance to anything else, I haven't really tested, but I'm guessing that's the only thing that would really benefit you.
In the end, you wouldn't use Skolver as much, even with the fire maximum, since there's no attack speed bonus or elemental defense. They're too important to sacrifice just for some damage, even if you'd get additional freeze resist aswell.

I noticed some high immunity against fire too, i dont now exactly in what for a depth i was in but i think it was someting around 12 maybe, it was in a Decon zone with flamethrower grems (Iron Claw Scorcher).
I used Vog set with a low Fire resistence uv on helmet (never thought it comes practical in anyway) and i was able to dance in the flames from the gremlins (Iron Claw Scorcher) without getting set on fire or even hurt by those flames o.o strange feeling but nice :D
A friend who weard Vog without that one lil increase of fire resistenz told me that he still get hurt a bit, so it looked like i just reached a point of resistence where i was able to stand against flames at that depth with that type of flames, one note tho this, view depths later we faced some Red Rover Puppies in a Arena and they burned me down a bit so it depends on resistence + wich depth u are and looks like each flame spitting monster got diffrent strength of fire type attack but its possible to gain some kind of immunity.

Vog. You take matching armor for different stratums.
Also, just sell it to Delcore for thousands of ce otherwise, check the bazaar for info.
Auction it off to rich collectors, use what you gained to craft/buy a Vog.
Unless you like collecting rarities in which case Skolverize it. It's wasted on Vog otherwise.
