The Elevator slowly opened up and the light of Haven hit our eyes once more. As I slowly walked out of the Elevator I glanced around the Arcade. Nobody was around. "Thank you for helping me, Arzran." I nod slowly stepping out of the Arcade to the Town Square. Everyone is bidding at the Auction House. "I'll pay 2000 crowns for the Striker! One million for the Wolver Tail!" Everything was normal. I shrugged, heading towards one of the many mailboxes dotted around Haven. I checked my mail. Spiral HQ threat, person asking me to help them get to the Core, questions about the Gremlin city...I stared at a parcel with no name. As I took it from the mailbox I opened it. A very peculiar note was inside. "Hide your face. They are hunting for you." A Phantom Mask was underneath it. I placed it over my face, and covered it in the hood that came with it. There was no return address, nothing that showed it was from a Stranger or a Knight. It was quite mysterious. I went back to the Auction House and saw a few Vanguards questioning everyone in a set of Vog Cub. Then I understood.
Spitfire.
I trekked towards the Arcade as Terza sprints up towards me. "Hey! Hold up!" I ignore him as I take Spitfire from his hiding space and head towards the Elevator. I get into it and Terza enters as well. "I wanted to say thank you for helping me!" As the doors close I say. "Yeah, it was nothing." The Elevator begins to sink into the ground. "Where are we going, anyways?" "Emberlight." As the Elevator opens I glance around the city. Several Gremlins watch me and begin to murmur. I shrug it off as I purchase a few potions. Suddenly, something grabs at my leg, making me slip onto the ground. I hear Terza hit the ground and Spitfire howl. Suddenly a throbbing pain hits my head and it all goes black.
I woke up, surrounded by Gremlins...smiling Gremlins? I hear whispers. "He's waking! Quickly everyone get ready, hide the other one!" As I blinked, looking to them they all yelled, throwing confetti in the air! "SURPRISE!" I stared at them blankly, I reached for my blade, but it was not there. "What is this?" A Gremlin walks up to me, not in any military clothes, just civilian clothes. He smiles, shaking my hand. "We're throwing a sur'rise 'arty for you!" I stared at him. "Why did you knock me out, then?" "Because...we thought you'd kill us." I sigh, standing up. "Why?" All the Gremlins begin chattering. "You didn't kill all the Gremlins in the Great City! Most other knights would've done that! You're a hero to us, at least, maybe not anyone else but us!" I stare at the Gremlins. "Also...we have a problem we thought you could help us with..."
Race: Spiral (Isorian)
Name: Havain
Gender: Male
Appearance: short dark black hair, dark red personal colour
Arsenal: Ash tail coat and cap, Silent night-blade, Black hawk, Wyvern scale shield.
Personality: Has quite a dark personality, can give you a good laugh if you are his friend. Will make a strong bond with anyone he trusts. If they are on his bad side, then they will feel sorry for themselves. He is very agile.
Bio: mostly unknown but he was born by a loving and caring family and they kept him, but when his father did something that nobody liked they attacked his father. After this, Havain has been an enemy to many. He does have a criminal record but he is very sneaky, stealing things with ease. However he does know that this is wrong.
"Aye, tha' is the one." I continued to chew on the cake the Gremlins had gave me. "Just gotta turn on the power and restore it to our little cave. We' be wa'i'n 'ere. Once ya do, we can gi'e you so crowns. Lotssssa crowns! Thousands!" I smirk, heading towards the door, calling over Terza. "Wai'!" The Gremlin bring over Spitfire, I smile, patting Spitfire, "Whose a good boy? Good boy, don't gut the Gremlins!" The Gremlin smiles. "Oi! Havain, ge' over 'ere!" A Knight comes from the shadows. "This one'll 'elp ye!" I look over Havain. "Greetings, Havayan?" He chuckles. "Havain." I nod. "I am Arzran, I trust the Gremlins have informed you about their problem?" He nods. I smirk. "Let us go, this should be easy...in theory..."
Never knew Gremlins had scottish accents :/ lol, their trippy all right, so Arzar, when will 'you know what' happen?
I never did any accents at all so I made a random Gremlin have an accent. Deal with it.
Hexlash and I have talked and Hexlash is an OFFICAL co-author of this story. Any posts by him are considered TRUE and CANNOT be argued with by anyone. He can't stuff up the story in ridiculous ways though.
Hurray! :D So, for my grand entrance, I will require all you avid readers (because I know you exist) to submit apps now that Arzar AND me are working on it! This'll be interesting :3 (I loved the accent by the way XD)
Also, how about a little piece as well?

Meanwhile in Haven...
The Knight strolled casually by the Auction House without a forth-word glance, attracting no more attention than the bustling knights arguing over the price of a pair of wings. Turning a corner, he picked up speed, no longer within the presence of prying eyes. Rounding corner after corner, he wound his way around the alley ways of Haven. He turned a final corner, encroaching upon a dead end, steeped in darkness. A single shaft of light trickled in, illuminating a figure, calmly standing with his back turned to the Knight that had just arrived.
"I see you found your way here all right." His voice was grave and deep.
"I have it." The Knight said in response. Taking out a black module.
"Took you long enough." A subtle warning lingered in air, clinging to the beam of light that he stood under. "Time is of the essence."
"I apologize, okay? He's been... un-cooperative." The Knight quickly added, "But he's been useful, as have his allies." The Knight hesitated, "But we seem to have lost track of him, we're not sure what happened... we suspect he's been taken hostage." The figure stayed silent.
"Hostage? You amuse me." The figure shifted position slightly. "Now show me the module." The Knight typed in a passcode and the module clicked, the metal bindings that were wrapped around it receding. The Knight opened it and typed in a series of codes, which the module replied with a satisfying 'ding'. Then The Knight handed it to the figure.
"This is all we have right now." The Knight explained as the figure scanned the files stored on the module.
"Perfect." The figure's tone seemed pleased. "Wait... Now this is interesting." The Knight clenched his fists, what was wrong? He couldn't tell from the tone.
"I-is there something... wrong?" The Knight asked nervously.
"No, just... interesting." The figure closed the module with a hiss and click. "You have done your duties. You have no more business here."
"Yes, thank you." The Knight kneeled down, nodded, and scurried back to his feet. "We will have everything sorted out for next time."
"Yes you will. Now leave." The figure's command was harsh, yet showed no emotion. The Knight quickly turned and headed back to the winding alley ways. The figure took a deep breath and said just as the Knight made the first turn,
"For time is of the essence."

Side note: Never type large portions of text from a tiny little mobile phone, touch a link, and lose everything.
That aside....
So the reason all the characters are anonymous is because I actually do not know how this story ties (in or do I? ;3) and the characters don't have names yet either (or am I just keeping them secret :o) So yeah, I hope you guys will add apps to do crap, and I hope you liked it...
So do you want a snipit more?
~~~
The Knight slammed the robed figure onto the cold stone floor.
"Tell me! What happened?! Where is he?!" The Knight demanded angrily, however her anger wasn't exactly directed to the captured cultist, but rather to the fact that they had lost their target.
"I don't - I don't know! All I know is that they, no, he," The cultists voice slipped into a haunting almost hypnotized tone, "Killed our great and powerful lord! Doomed! We are doo-"
The Knight gave a swift kick across the cultists head, sending him sprawling across the floor. He grunted and struggled to get back up, a futile task with his hands shackled.
"I don't care about your 'lord'! Where is that guy that kicked your butt, and what happened?!" The cultist suddenly became silent. "Idiot." The Knight stormed over and grabbed him by the shoulders, pushing him against a wall. "Tell me; now." The cultists eyes glazed, leaving a distant look in his eyes, as if he no longer saw. He began trembling under The Knight's hands, then abruptly stopped.
"The great one sits upon his throne, a world of shadow, a world of dread. Awakened by thy presence we seek, to come and to him we said; 'Come upon us, we implore, for thy power we have sought, for we have found a way to do, what it is we want from you.' Our cries were hailed to his reprieve, the circles drawn, with us conceived. The two realms became one that day, but Fate was changed by him you say. The dark lord fought, to no avail, for he was not the one to prevail. With crystal cracked, broken and shattered, all his friends gone, all to him that mattered; we fell, upon the circle we drew, to awaken to the dark lord who's presence we knew."
The Knight's grip ceased and she let the cultist flop onto the ground, un-moving, his eyes un-changed. She slowly backed away, his words seemed to fill the air, suffocating her. She reached the other end of the room and paused, the cultist wasn't done.
"For he who seeks, has broken the Pillar of Shadow." The cultists body flared an aura of deep indigo, his body lifting off the ground. Levitating in the air, his haunted glare focused on The Knight, eyes rimmed by the purple glow.
"Pillar of Shadow, deep in its way, lost to us all that one single day. For now one pillar less, the danger approaches; one pillar less, the danger encroaches." The voice was no longer of the cultist, but of a great many more ancient souls, the roomed rumbling with every word. The Knight backed up against the wall as much as she could as the feeling of the cultist seemed to consume the room. She felt eh wall behind her, unyielding, and cold.
"One pillar less, one step more. One pillar less, to open th-" Electricity surged into the room, strands of lightning flying from the corners of the room, striking deep within the body that was once that of the cultist's. His scream pierced the air so acutely that The Knight crumpled to her knees, begging for it to stop, covering her ears. The electricity cut off as suddenly as it had come, causing the body to drop to the floor, sparks still dancing off it, scattering off the stone ground. A door clicked and swung open.
"Are you okay?" A Knight rushed in and kneeled over The fallen Knight, two others running in to inspect the limp body.
"Am I okay?!" The Knight was upon tears. "You have no idea how freaked out I was! Why didn't you stop him sooner! You promised that you would surge if anything seemed wrong!" she swatted the other Knight's out stretched hands and carefully got back onto her feet.
"I'm sorry, okay? We were just really... intrueged by what he was saying. We only stopped because you were about to be..." his voice trailed off. The Knight didn't have to be told, she had felt it herself, the power emitting off the cultist was overwhelming, beyond any power they had seen. A power so strong, arcane power.
"He's gone." An inspector said. The cultist's eyes were faded, a mysterious glow the only evidence of what had transpired in the room.
"What was he talking about?" The Knight asked, not wanting to even try to remember what had occurred.
"We're not sure, but we better get this to him immediately." The other Knight replied to her with urgency. The Knight shook her head.
"No, he was telling us something..." She struggled to take deep breaths, "He was warning us." The Knight's knees buckled and she collapsed to the ground.
So yeah, woo... Wow, this one is really messed up, but w/e I guess... lol
Thanks for accepting my app and this story is awesome! Keep it up!
Ive been gone months and my character dies to a trojan... :(.... wish she could come back...somehow....Just...with a little more...i dont know....'juice', firey blazing juice, that swells her body and produces her own little friend. Not little though, more like a Fire titan :D.
Also, Hexlash...SECRETS OF CLOCKWORKS....NOW
pwease..
I thought you were gone! Wow, uh...I am sorry? Argh, Arzar you twat, don't go killing off people's characters...anyways its storytime.
"HOW did I get talked into THIS?!" I yell at my squad. Someone replies. "Gremlins, accents, parties and crowns. Also, they forgot to mention the Gremlins we'd have to kill. I sigh, glancing around at the corpses littered on the ground. I pull at the lever, forcing it. After some time it FINALLY clicks and the power lights up! I brush the cobwebs off the generator. "That' i-there are Gremlins surrounding it already." I draw my sword in one hand, gun in the other. The Gremlins charge at me ready to swing and I fire my gun, knocking 'em down. Spitifre lunges at the Gremlins, clawing at their legs and making them falter. Havain stabs them through their backs, killing them off. Spitfire howls, a cone of fire extending from his mouth at the Gremlins and they light up. I sprint at the largest one, swinging my Fang of Vog at him. He howls, falling back. The other Gremlins stare as he falls backwards, burning and screeching in pain. They look to each other and sprint away. I grin as they leave. "Let's go back..."
"This is it?" The Knight asked.
"Yes, we tracked them down here, we have also taken a surviving cultist hostage, for questioning." The Recon replied.
"It's a total wreak." The Knight looked around, the area was crumbling, with bodies littered across the floor. A vague sign of great evil lingered in the air. "Wait, those knights couldn't possibly have done all this..." The Knight walked over to a collapsed building, nothing but rubble, and peered at it for a second. Something caught their interest and they started digging.
"What are you doing?" The Recon asked, confused, until The Knight pulled out another knight form the rubble. Their hand still barely clasping a gun that was dented beyond recognition.
"This knight looks like she was knocked into that, well whatever it was, so hard that she actually caused it to collapse. I don't think a bunch of cultists could have done that." The Knight let go of the knight, leaving her to slump back to the ground.
"But wait, there's..." The Recon looked back at the centre of destruction. "No sign of what could have done that..." The two walked back to where most of the destruction seemed to have occurred, The Knight almost tripping over a fallen knight, his helmet shattered. "Woah." The Recon stopped. The Knight looked suspiciously at the Recon, then followed his glance down.
"Oh gee." A glowing circle, deep purple, stood out against the rubble and cracked ground, however, through the centre of the circle was a streak of white, as if the circle was split in half.
"We have to make record of this." The Recon said, pulling out various instruments.
"Wait I'm getting a transmition from headquarters... Something is going on with the questio-" The circle abruptively exploded into a flurry of black light, engulfing the two, like the darkness, the light grabbed and pulled, lashing out into the air. A deep hollow sound, resonating from all directions, boomed over their screams. The light faded, leaving an intricate design on the ground slowly flickering. There was a split of rock, and a black pillar of light shot from the centre of the intricate circle design. The light faded, as did the light from the now ancient appearing symbol on the ground, and as did the cries of The Knight and Recon.
I jump onto the Gremlin's back, stabbing through it's neck. I quickly remove my Fang of Vog, waving it around at the other Gremlins approaching me. "Get back and give me the Gremlin with the funny accent. Or else you end up as your pal." Spitfire growls, barking at the Gremlins, a few sparks coming out of his mouth. It's a stalemate. The allied Gremlins have been captured and it's me and my allies. As we stare at them they bring a blade to the Gremlin's throat. "Me be killin' him! Me will'sa yus, yus! You can go! Go, go, go!" The captive Gremlin croaks. "Lad, 's not wor'h i'." I smirk, quickly unsheathing my Volcanic Pepperbox and firing a massive amount of bullets, most of the Gremlins are set ablaze. Chaos was assured and they ran around, set each other on fire. As they all burnt the one holding the leader got brushed by one of his allies and he howled, dropping the leader who scrambled up to em with haste. The Gremlins burnt out, lying on the ground as the flames flickered. "Owies...". I frowned, looking down to them, a horrific sight it was. The leader smiles. "Ya did i', lad! Ya did i'!" I frown as one of the survivors crawls towards me, moaning. "I did..."
Sorry! I'm getting real busy, what with it getting to the end of the year, I might not be able to put out much, as I have A LOT to attend to. :3
Good going Arzar!
"Right, ye know that Spiral HQ is looking for you but you don' know that they are really SEARCHING. They won' let anythink stand in their way and are jus' gonna rip into ya. We've been watchin' ya since you showed up in our city. A good man, you are. We pooled our money, resources, errythink and we got you that mask. Just to stop them, or at least slow 'em down. Ye got somethin' special, lad. Ye got the blood of the world by yer side and in yer hands." I stare at the Gremlin and he yells out. "FIRE! Tha's the blood o' the world. What keeps tha Clockworks tickin', fire. What keeps everything moving? Ye have a fang of Vog. Fire is power. But ye managed to tame a being of fire made flesh, the Cub. Nobody else has been able to tame a cu' and you have, you truly have something special. But ye must not use it for evil."
-Something that links the end of the last chunk of the story and this new chunk.- "A plot-critical character speaks, sometimes a monster and sometimes a hero." -Something happens, maybe they get back to their safe haven or the end of an elevator, maybe a battle sequence happens and the characters win or a standoff with a plot-critical item or person.- "Depending on what is happening, a certain character speaks, probably a reply to the last one." "A reply to make a sort of a conversation." "Another reply" -Something changes the conversation, maybe a hero does something to flip the table or a monster does something, maybe a novelty of somesort.- "This speak sometimes does not happen, sometimes the previous action goes longer." -Final action, maybe hinting at something that will change the world. "A quote that a character says, not always, however."
As you can see this is a joke and NOT canon. I don't know what to do with the next chunk of story but wanted to give whoever reads this something. So...have this!
As we exit the Arcade we cover our eyes, squinting. "Come on, those Gremlins gave us enough to buy a few things so lets grab some supplies and go, meet back here in an hour, maybe two." The others nod as we go. I kneel down to Spitfire. "Go hide, I'll make sure to get you a treat." As Spitfire hides near the Arcade I wander towards the Auction House. "Selling a Warm Hearthstone Pendant." I approach the night, trading and getting the Pendant. As I reach the Auction House and browse the articles I see something out of the corner of my eye... I spin around deflecting the slash, kicking at the Knight who is wearing the Azure Guardian set. "On authority of the Spiral Order I hereby place YOU under arrest, Arzran. Keeping information about important... subjects, attacking an offical and avoiding our authority." I growl, unsheathing my Fang of Vog. "Order, order?! What you run is more like chaos! CHAOS!" "Still your tongue, the Spiral Order is working towards getting us home." The Knight sprints towards me slashes his Leviathan blade and I block it, darting to the right and stabbing at him. "Arrrgh! Resisting arrest, another crime, you'll pay!" I quickly slash another few times, he blocks most but gets hit again, alighting. He suddenly slashes, in pure rage roaring as he continues to burn. I couldn't dodge it. "ARGH!" But the Knight is weakened, he drops to his knees, continuing to burn. "No...t...lik...e...thi....s" As he slowly lies down and stops moaning, I sigh, glancing around at the crowd that has formed around our fight. I push through them sprinting to the Arcade, and I wait.
"I did that...a dead man, I shouldn't have done that." I moan, slowly stepping through the Arcade. I hear crackling, snapping. I spin around and stare at a hooded figure standing at the door of the Arcade, ice is flying from his hands creating a wall infront of the doors. I slowly walk up to him. "Arzran, do not worry." I hear him speak. He turns around. "It's been a long time, how have you been?" I blink. "MAGICKAL! You're h-hear! GREAT! The Spiral Ord-" "I know the story, Arzran, they want you. But I will not let a pure hearted man get taken. Or his dog." Magickal comments, looking down to Spitfire. "I have a new team and we have been going through the Clockworks. "Hmm, well, Arzran, you need to get this team up again, I shall come with you." I nod. "Magickal, you must be warned that you will be hunted too, if they find out about you and I and Gremette and Dread in the gremlin city. "Yeah, well, I'm just gonna be outright about this. I don't care about the Spiral Order and they can go and die in the Clockworks if they are gonna be so cruel and efficient and orderly. Sometimes you need a little less common sense, a little less intelligence and just a little more chaos."
This story is quite nice, but I lost track of literally everything since Hex started writing. I like his parts, but everything just seems confusing ever since he posted. I do not know where the characters are at different moments. In posts of both you, Arzan and Hexlash. I also would like to see the things about the cultist and the module connect to the story, because as I hear it now, it seems like it were different stories not even related.
Well here's the thing, its supposed to be mainly secret, so that you comprehend what's going on yourself, but to clarify; my parts are technically separate, there is currently no connection between Azar's parts and my parts so far. Arzar is telling the main story, from Azran's perspective, I'm sort of hinting at whats been going on behind the scenes, for now I'm afraid you won't see any real, big, conflict between the two parts. It's really confusing because the characters have no names lol, so try your best to figure out who is who, btw, whenever I say 'him' or 'the figure' instead of 'The Knight', Im referring to one specific character.
I pace back and forwards, rambling to Magikal. "How did you even know I was in Haven?" Magikal smirks. "Well, fighting in Haven is rare and gathers a crowd." I glance to the ice wall as it melts away. "Have you spoken to Gremette or Dread?" I ask him. "Yes, I haven't been able to uncurse Dread yet, but I remain close friends with Gremette. I'm surprised she hasn't told the Spiral Order about the city of gremlins." I smile. "She must see from where I stand." "Well that could be it, but maybe she has her own motives." I hear Havain and Terza call out my name. "Arzran! Let's go!" I smile. "Right, come let us go. Uh, this is Magikal. He is an acquaintance. I quickly hand Magikal my Volcanic Pepperbox saying. "Thanks for allowing me to see this, I should get one." Magikal catches on, responding quickly. "It is fine, Arzran. I'll help you get some materials." I nod, heading into the Elevator with my party. I punch in some commands and the Elevator sinks down, back into the darkness.
"Hey! You! We need yah over here! We got a malfunctioning computer linked to some vital systems, we need it back online, ASAP!"
Khoi grumbled at being ordered around so much, but eagerly went over to the place that he was directed to, after all, he was making pretty decent crowns, working for the Spiral Order as a high-end technician. He immediately began tinkering with the systems.
"I need to run off to check the other systems, I'm hoping to see this one fixed up by then." The Knight said, leaving Khoi to continue fixing the machine, humming as he did so.
"One last thing..." he mumbled to himself as he got back up and started typing codes into the computer. As the system rebooted, he started re-accessing the files to activate the central computing of the computers connections, when he accidentally opened up the wrong program folder. "Whoops, gotta shut that down, before I mess anything else up..." He mumbled, but as he was about to run the shut-off script, something caught his attention. "Wha- what's this?!" He instantly started scanning through the files in disbelief and shock. "N-No way..." Khoi looked around and activated a unique mechanism that he had not revealed to anyone before from his mechanical arm, and manged to hook it into the computer. Nervously, he immediately began downloading all the data from the computer into the special device.
"Is the system ready yet? We need it, now!" The Knight said as he came back, but the second he saw Khoi he froze, and stared from Khoi to the computer screen." The silence was broken only but the occasional beeps coming form the computer as the vital information was being copied down. The tensity between the two knights seemed to freeze time...
~~
Sorry! I ran out of time to write! Hopefully you will get to find out what happens next soon!
BTW, Khoi, can you elaborate on what sort of devices he has in his arm?
*hologram turns on* Hello! This is a recorded hologram of my mechanical arm and all its uses and functions in case I forget like the oaf I am. Ok first off, we have the Built-in Blaster firearm in case of emergencies. (talked about that in the app) Like some combat robots, their hands transform into the weapon. Secondly, we have a weight support module to carry more weight than the average knight, Then, (as described in Hexlash's story) theres a device that stores any Viral, data that he might be of interest into. It comes with a camera to store photographic data as well the camera itself is the equivalent to the high tech cameras we have today. And the last device for Part 1 of the hologram, Is the Fire surpression system. Which is basically a Fire extingisher, to remove any fires, and is detachable so you can put yourself out. Part 2 will be released soon. (When I have more Ideas LOL) *hologram turns off*
Can I add tools as nessecary? Like for example if he needed a screwdriver, could he just get one form his arm? And also, how strong is his arm, exactly? Any idea what its made from?
His arm is made out of the armor of blast plate shields. Very durable. I gtg sleep soon its 2:33 AM :>
His arm is made out of the armor of blast plate shields. Very durable. I gtg sleep soon its 2:33 AM :>
I somehow posted 2 comments when I tried to post 1...Creepy........Anywho when are you gonna make another story? I am dying in curiousity.
Lol. DIS STORY MUST LIVE.
Sooo, since you want it THAT bad...
Previously, on Spitfire...
"The tensity between the two knights seemed to freeze time..."
xD Couldn't resist!
~~
The Knight slowly took a deep breath, then, with much tensity, asked, "What are you doing..."
It was at this moment that Khoi realized that he had to buy himself some time to complete downloading, he pondered the situation and replied, "I am running a check on the computer... uh, I saw- I mean the file retrieval broke down... so I had to, uh, activate a prime directive router to see if I could reconnect the systems. The hardware, heh, was really fried from an intense operation, that well, seemed to disconnect it from the main access network..." Khoi could do nothing but stare directly into the other Knights eyes, the intensity of the situation slowly breaking down his nerves. But all the while he thought to himself the crazy stuff that he had just taken a glimpse at, if he could just-
"I see." The Knight seemed to relax, but something still didn't sit right with Khoi, but he let the feeling slide for the sake of not looking suspicious. "That's what you're doing." The Knight took a step closer, resulting in Khoi tensing up, despite himself. "So, tell me, how long have you worked for the Order, exactly?" Though a bit confused by the question, Khoi replied.
"I've been working for just a few years, why?" Khoi looked at him, subtly judging his movements, then saw behind the Knight, at the wall.
"No reason, just curious; small talk, you understand." The Knight took another step forward. "Well, seems a shame," Khoi snapped up at the word instantly, "-that your career is over!" The Knight shouted the last part, lunging forward with his Leviathan blade as he said his last word, almost as if he was crying out for battle. Khoi reacted instantly, ducking down and deflecting the hit with his mechanical arm, nearly severing the connection to the computer. The Knight stumbled forward, a bit fazed by the sudden act. Khoi took the opportunity to take a glance at the computer, 87% Complete Data Transfer from file "Confidential"
, displayed on it's screen, with programming codes scrolling down behind it.
"What are you doing?!" Khoi asked falsely, he knew in all what the Knight was doing: preventing him from escaping with such valuable data, but he had to try anything to stall for time.
"You idiot! What do you think I'm doing?! Under command of the Spiral Order, I demand you cease action immediately!" The Knight resumed his attack, charging at Khoi, blade raised. Khoi pulled out his Strike Needle, and fired off a couple of rounds with unprecedented speed. The Knight meekly blocked the shots with his Leviathan Blade, but some shots managed to hit him making the Knight wince in pain. His blade also became slightly dented from the powerful bullets. "Ha! What a waste, the Spiral Order could have done well with you, looks like you're not only good at fixing busted computers, but also at making a hefty weapon!" Khoi frowned.
"Are you kidding me? After what I've seen, I'll never even listen to the Spiral Order! The sheer fact that you immediately went into combat against me is enough for me to justify my case!" Khoi no longer felt guilty and fire another round of bullets, this time however, the Knight shielded, the shots ringing out loudly as they clanged off his Aegis. Khoi dared another brisk look at the computer, 90% Complete Data Transfer from file "Confidential"
. Khoi knew he didn't have much time left, he wasn't sure if it would download in time. The Knight grunted, this time pulling out a Valiance, and firing off a few shots. Luckily, Khoi's arm was angled so he was still able to attack with his built in blaster as well. He aimed and fired, the attacks colliding in the air, negating each other. The Knight clenched his fists and slammed his Leviathan into the wall in rage. Suddenly, something caught Khoi's eye. The Knight touched his helmet and opened up a chat link.
"Attention! We have an intel breach at Facility 26! We have a spy, compromising level 2 security information! Backup required to secure the premises! I repeat, we have an intel breach at Facility 26 requiring backup!" The Knight smirked, "No way out now, buddy!" Khoi knew he was out of time, he didn't need to look at the computer to know it wasn't done. He broke the connection, and as a last ditch effort, fired his blaster menacingly at the computer, which proceeded to explode, shooting electrical sparks everywhere. Khoi knew it wouldn't stop them, but it might hinder them, maybe. "Why you!" The Knight yelled angrily. He dashed towards Khoi and switched to a shield bash, Khoi, leaping on top of the broken computer and kicking it towards the Knight, missing. Multiple footsteps sounded down the hallway, causing both knights to pause. "Looks like my backup has arrived." Khoi didn't hesitate, pulling out his Strike Needle again, he blasted the wall behind the Knight, who scoffed at him for his aim.
"You just think about whether or not that shot was that bad." Khoi said with a sly smile and a little mischievousness as he turned tails and blasted the wall open behind him. As he ran out, cracking sounds rumbled through the building, because Khoi had noticed a weakened foundation pillar, and had struck it dead on. He felt kinda sad, knowing that now he was a target of the Spiral Order, but what could he do? With what he saw, he needed to act fast, he needed to access the data and go through all of it in-depth. He took one last look as the building crumbled and collapsed behind him.
Khoi panted as he hid in the Arcade, hoping for some safety from any unwanted attention for now. He didn't know how long he would survive without getting supplies, but a man with a lot of crowns is useless if he can't use them. Looking around, Khoi made sure no one could see, and in his little crevice that he was hiding in, he attempted opening up the data, a hologram visualizing from his arm as he did so. Error. Data encrypted. Unable to open.
"Darn! Gonna need at least a module computer to un-encrypt these files." Khoi grumbled to himself. He tried again, running a few primitive programming codes, and managed to access limited data. "Hmm, this looks interesting." He pulled open a data Status Report on a strangely high alert Knight. "Wonder what makes this guy so important..." He wondered aloud. "Runs around with a... Has several conflicts with the Order... Doesn't comply... Last seen..." Khoi continued to read the Knight's data, surprised by the things he read. "This guy seems to be quite the problem for The Order... What's this?" There was an attached file to the original Knight Status Report, labeled as 'Resources'. Khoi tried to open it, but it was mostly under encryption, some parts were open though. "So this is what they want from him... But it's not just..." He shut the hologram off, and sighed, he needed time to fully go over the data. He knew that he held a key into The Order's deepest secrets, but the key itself was locked. Khoi closed his eyes and leaned back against the wall, irritated by the irony. Suddenly he heard footsteps and voices from the arcade, but whoever it was, Khoi was still hidden from them. The conversation was a bit far away, but he could still here some of it.
"-anks... -ould ge-..." Khoi leaned a bit further out to catch what they were saying. "It i-... I'll hel-... -ials." Khoi held his breath and peeked over the crevice, just in time to see a group of Knights enter an elevator, one which punched in somethings into the elevator console, which then zoomed down. Khoi remained staring at the elevator, he swore he had seen that guy who was at the elevator console before. Then it clicked, that was the same guy who was being talked about on the Knight Status Report; Arzran.
Okay, few things, I kinda turned his mech arm into a mini computer too Khoi xD (Getting soooo used to typing that name), also I hope you guys can catch all the subtle foreshadowing I've been doing, there's a lot of things that would do you good to catch onto... ;3
I love that part xD Its alright if you transform my arm into a frigging computer lol. I'll be waiting once more for the next intense part of the story. (no rush :3)
(no rush :3) Omg.. why do I keep accidentally post 2 comments instead of 1 ._. I swear its a glitch. Anyways a few things to note: I can dual wield the needle on my human/normal arm and the blaster on the mech arm, but the shield would have to go on the back, secondly, he can hold the shield, and the sword on either hand so he can transition.
@Hexlash: Thankyouthankyouthankyou for annihilating my writer's block.
"Alright we ne-" ....,,,,,,zzzzzzZZZZZZZZ As the blaster shot smashed into the Elevator we all lept back, all of us staring up at the Knight, plummeting towards us. Magikal shoots some ice out quicky, creating a slide for the Knight. "ARZRANWAITIHAVESOMETHINGYOUNEEDTOSEE" Is what I heard him yell as he slid, crashing into the wall of the elevator feet first. "OW, MY FOOT!" I stare down at the Knight, drawing my sword. Magikal points a curse at him, hand glowing in power, Havain pointing his blade at the Knight, too. As the Knight slowly gets up, grabbing onto the rails he moans, thrusting out his arm, pointing at a hologram with garbled and unintelligible letters, symbols even Magikal scratched his head at. "We. Need. To. Find. Module. Room. Get. Open. The. Data." I stare at him. "I have no idea in any of the Lost Kingdoms of Almire what you are talking about." "I am Khoi, and this is a little bit of a tale, sit down it could take a while and BY THE UNHOLY DEITIES OF FIRE AND CURSE MY FOOT HURTS!" He screeches. I blink. "You can sit, also, explain. Now."
Lol poor me and my foot.
Well the only reason I could do this was because I finally had an actual character to use, but until I get 'the right guy' (Lucky for me khoi was perfect) I will continue to bring you very confusing hints of the Spiral Order's operations, behind the scenes! Oh and no prob Arzar, it's gonna be tricky how Khoi's gonna work now though, considering he's fallen into your hands, but perhaps if we have time in-game, we can discuss how this will work out, considering I can't really think of how I would use Arzran... But for now I am once again without a character... ._. Back to 'The Knight' and 'The Figure' lol
So the only reason I was perfect, was because I was an engineer and was suppose to be an intel spy against the order? O.o?
lol Khoi, your character was never a spy, thats just what the Knight called him so that they had a reason to arrest him for seeing the "oh so important information that you currently have no idea what it is". And Arzar, before you continue, I need to tell you some things that are tied to Khoi that I don't want you to miss.
I didn't exactly mean spy, as in traitor, or double agent, but I was just refering, that I was perfect (somehow) because I was just doing normal work then found out about Arzar and decided to join him and so. And what things tied to me? :3
Looks like Arzar and Hex is taking a 'little' break. Lemme bring this back so it doesn't get too far back :3
"So, your arm contains something that will help me?" "Yes" "And you don't have the ability to tell me what it is?" "Yes" "And everything you've told me has lead to my belief this has been an utter waste of time unless we can get you to one of those computers we were talking about earlier?" "Yes." I sigh. "Fine, but what did you get?" "The Spiral Order is trying to ki-" "REAALLLYYYY?! I had NOOOOOOO clue." I say sarcasticly, moaning. "They've dispatched their strongest squad. "And?" "Thats all I have." "Well, we'll just cut through wherever we get and then get you back to Haven..." I moan, glancing at the Depth meter before pressing it. The Elevator slows down and the doors open. "WELCOME TO: FIRESTORM CITADEL" The automated voice says, I stare upon the towers of flame and death, undead groaning and moaning, clawing at the walls like the mindless beasts they are, a few stand guard, watching for any intruders. "Well...darn..."
"Are you sure this will work?" "Yes, yes, they are not so smart..." I say, trekking towards the guards, Khoi over my right shoulder, Magikal carrying Havain of his right shoulder and both of us carry Spitifre in our arms. "This Sleep spell wont wear off quick, will it?" I ask Magikal. "No.". We approach the guards, a few hobbling Slag Walkers and an Almirian Guard. "HALT." The guard howls, echoing across the spires of flame. "Who are you?" It's voice changes, becoming a demonic growl. I growl, as deep as I can muster. "I...am...DEATH...I...am...FIRE...I....was sent...to the town...of the living...to take...Knights...to turn them..." The Almirian guard looks over my Vog Cub armor and Phantom Mask. "You...are damned..." He looks to Magikal. "Who are you?" It says. "My phantom I raised." I say to the Guard. "Is it born of flame?" The Guard asks. I nod, winking to Magikal. He blows fire out of his mouth, howling as he does so. "Now we must enter...for these three must know...death..." The Guard lets us pass. I grin, trekking towards the bridge. "Magikal." I look up as Magikal creates a bride of ice, allowing us to pass the Wheel Launchers. I sigh as we enter the charred court. As we stumble through a wall collapses. "Hey..." I murmur, going towards it, Magikal follwing me. A single sword floats, over an eternally burning fire. Runes are etched onto the blade and an orb is attached to the hilt, it appears as if fire burns within it. It is jagged and uneven, a terribly made sword. I place my hand on the hilt, beginning to pull it out of the sky. "NO, WAI-"
Beep
Beep
Beep
I moan, blinking. Everything's blurry and white. Beep...beep...so repetitive. I rub my eyes and everything comes into focus, voices. "Hrmrnuph, grnph sturts satle." Lighs are on the roof, I slowly begin to sit up. THUD! My head hits some glass. "What...the?" Glass? I see a few Knights look over me, medics. They nod, going out my field of view. "COME BACK!" I yell, smashing my fists on the glass. A new group of Knights enters. I silently look up at them, Magikal, Gremette, Dread, Havain and few other Knights with Vanguard Badges. "What happened?" I ask them. They stare blankly down at me. "What. Happened?" I growl to them. A medic presses a button and I look as Magikal begins to speak. "You're an abomination." I silently look up at him. "What?" "An abomination. That is what you are." I growl. "What happened?" "All will be explained. But for now you must rest, Arzran." I growl. "Where's Spitfire?" "You are not allowed to see him." My right eye twitches as I howl, smashing the glass. "WHERE IS SPITFIRE?!" I yell, punching the glass, enraged. Fury. HOW DARE THEY! HE IS MY WOLVER! "WHERE IS SPITFIRE YOU INTOLERANT, MURDERERS! WHERE IS MY CHILD, MY FRIEND!" I see a few cracks form as I continue smashing. "Gremette, press the button." Gremette silently presses a button, nothing happens as I continue SMASHING the glass. "WHERE IS SPITFIRE?!" I howl, as I punch through the glass, growling, as it shatters, pieces of broken glass slicing into me. I stand, tubes becoming disconnected from me as I stand wait, TUBES?! I glance upwards, howling. "WHERE IS SPITFIRE?! GREMETTE, MAGIKAL, DREAD, DECEIVERS, WHERE IS SPITFIRE?!" They whip out their pistols, Gremette and Dread fleeing, Magikal sending a few bolts of ice at me before fleeing. "WHERE IS HE?! WHERE IS HE?!" I dash down, placing my hand over one of the Medics' necks, pushing him to the wall with a slam. "Where...is...he..."
I am literally not going to sleep until I know what just happened... o_o
The Trojan pierces through Pholo's helmet. He's gone. I growl firing multiple shots with my Volcanic Pepperbox. Critzer strafes around the Trojan and unleashes a hail of bullets. The Trojan howls, swinging it's sword around and smashing Critzer. Critzer flies across the room smashing into the rubble of a ruined building. I gasp running to the edge, Critzer is gone. I spin around and Spitfire is lunging at the Trojan. The Trojan simply swats Spitfire away. Like you would swat a fly. I sprint, jumping and lunging at the Trojan. I stab my blade into its head and use it to propel myself over, landing on its back crystal. I rip my blade out and stab it into the crystal and it collapses turning into a statue. I smile, dropping off the Trojan. One of the Knight cultists groans grabbing onto Spirem's leg and shooting him. They're gone...the reality sinks in. My squad is dead. I'm the only survivor. Unless...I slowly walk towards Spitfire. "S-Spitfire? Are you st-still alive?" I hear whimpers as I approach Spitfire. Spitfire stands up shakily, he slowly walks towards me and I pick him up. "We're going to Haven..." I hear some yell. "No! Don't leave me!" I slowly approach the noise. A Knight in a cage. "Who are you?" "I am Terza, those Knights wanted my gear! Crazy! Now help me out!" I unlock the door and he crawls out. "Take me to Haven." I nod as we slowly trek through the city. After some time we find the Elevator and pack onto it. It flies up towards Haven. I realize that the Spiral Order wants me...this was not a good idea...
