This is an attempt at seriousness and light-hearted humor. I thought about placing it in general discussions...but I probably would have been crucified by the rules committee that gathers there. (They like to complain about CE and updates...I don't think they are light-hearted.) I thought about putting it in the new players section...but that might get people confused. So...I'm placing it here and seeing what happens.

Please respond with anecdotes or your general rules for when to go solo. They can be humorous, serious, or strange. (And they'll probably be better than mine.)

When you see your teammates trigger every monster in the Garden of Goo all at once, I get the feeling that I should be going solo. (They trigger everything else as soon as they can later.) (Same thing for graveyard.)

Whenever I see some type "sorry lag" more than once, I get the feeling that I should go solo.

(Note: My examples aren't funny. :( Can someone do better?)

How about you?

You know you should go solo...

when you kill those who are on your team by blowing up boxes they're standing next to, then you run through the rest of the level leaving them for dead.

Somebody acts like a noob by bossing you saying "No, I'm doing the switches, your fightning. Geez". When I called it first, they said they are doing it first because I'm bad at it. They also said I have to protect them and pay them CE after for switching when they are selfish. Then the enemies were attacking them and they died. They were angry at me for not defending, so they kept forcing me to pay them the reviving fee and pay them in crowns for dying. I did the switches, went away to the elevator while they were whining. I told them that they were selfish and they called me a pathetic noob because I never did the work. I just kicked each of them out and they spammed me with tells. I reported them and I tested telling. It said they logged off. It means they were either scared of me or banned.

It was a IMF run.

Processing Thoughts of You Always

You know you should go solo when a Darkfang Shield drops.
And then you find out that the item doesn't get replicated when you leave and start a new instance.

RAAAAAAAAGE

When your entire team spams Trollaris over the place, knocking every enemy they see out of your sword's or bomb's range, and often right into your face...

@Aureate: That's why I solo everything except for Vanaduke, SLs, and danger missions. The only reason I don't solo Vanaduke is because I don't yet have a Blitz. (I literally got a Needle Shot today..) Trying to kill Vanaduke alone with only a Shiver and Glacius is quite a challenge....

You know you should go solo when...

... all of your teammates insist on shooting at devilites.

... your teammates all die on the same spot from spikes (yes, this really happened to me!).

... you wish you were on the gremlins' side.

You know you should go solo when...

...someone plays the main theme to "My Little Pony" over voice chat. (Inspired by a Team Fortress 2 experience, and I think this game has voice chat somewhere...)

...your allies tell you to stop using the Electron Vortex.

...someone places a blatant advertisement for his interactive fanfic esque thing thread in the chat log.

You know you should go Solo when you don't want anyone to tell you the odds and you want to change your mind, kid.

... when they run ahead and spawn all the monsters at once.

Also, doc, that MLP experience was probably limited to tf2. At least a quarter of the population there are bronies.

@Toxicblade - Challenge Accepted. Besides, I purposely throw the 4 zombie spawning switches in D26 FSC because of how easy it is one at a time. Sorry everyone else who is with me who can't kill them efficiently :P

Anyways...

You know it's time to go solo...

...when everyone else has died to the same enemy repeatedly. Not just different mobs of the same enemy, the same enemy. Excluding bosses, of course. Kinda pitiful when everyone else dies to say....a trojan, over and over and over again, when all you have to do is stay still enough for him to swing it's sword, walk up behind him, and hit him with your strongest attack.

I will give a tiny bit of leeway due to how hard it is to CC with multiple people, but still, Trojans (so long as they are within view), announce their attacks long before they do them.

y'know, all these things can be avoided if you're the party leader =). anyways,

-You know you should kick everyone, i mean go solo, when you see 3 people all in 4* plate armor in Tier 3. Sadly, i wasn't the party leader then.
