Spiral Knights - What are the advantages of being in a guild?

So, I believe title says everything.

What are the advantages? I'm thinking of joining one myself, I don't know what can happen though.

This question might be of some annoyance and stupidity but I am really curious and just want to know.

You might think that this should be in the Guild Recruitment page but I believe that asking for information'd be better if it was in here.

To me, the three reasons to

To me, the three reasons to join a guild are:

1: make friends.
2: find groups easier.
3: guilds tend to share basil recipe lists.

Really, beyond that there really isn't a pressing need to join a guild like there is in other mmo's.
