Don't show a precise ping please. Anyone who's played quake has probabaly seen people become sore losers when the enemy has a ping rating that's only 5 to 10 points higher. Would be fair if they just made it tell you if your ping was good, ok, or bad.
I'd like to see my own in more detail. I've actually tested it (best way to test is to measure snap-back on strike boost+shock) and while mine is pretty close to the 150 that my 2-3 bars suggests, it's not exact.
If just looking for a general stat, you can get it from your connection bars, and I *think* this is what it still means:
4: <100 ms.
3: <150 ms.
2: <250 ms.
1: >250 ms.
Knowing your ping can be very very helpful in PvE, and in PvP it's at least nice to know that most of your play is going to be anticipation.
Yes, it's annoying when someone is lagging, but there are several games I've played that show ping #s and such...
When people can see other's pings, in my gaming experience, it just causes people to call people out on it. Sore losers already complain about internet enough, but it'd be worse if *everyone* in the game harassed a player for having low ping.
Knowing your own connection should be good enough...even showing bars on other players usually just causes rage. *shrug*

Who the hell would harass a player for having low ping? What do you mean, "everyone"?
It's the players that have high ping and suck that would be harassed.
No. You realise "high ping" = "bad connection" and "low ping" = "good connection", right?
Oh man, do people get pissy when they're losing in PvP. They look for any excuse they can get. Adding ping number will just give them more ammunition.
You probably know what I mean, Duke.
lol, My mistake. I meant high ping. Not sure why I typed low ping...must have been thinking low speed.
Anyway... reference Duke's post.
Though, you wouldn't believe what people say sometimes...to people with *low* ping. Like...'QQ you only winz cus u got gewd internetz'.

Yes, connection can be an important factor, but showing it wont change anything, only state the obvious.
