These bots are a joke. Does anyone even get hit by them? It feels like a waste of time having to kill these guys; a trivial challenge at best.
All I'm saying is, I don't think a basic and common mob type should be a complete pushover.

Chromalisks are no joke when they've got some buddies with them. Sure they're nothing alone, but add in the more dangerous allies and it's a whole different ball game
Okay, maybe Chromalisks get harder later... but Scuttlebots don't. Why should there be a "cannon fodder" mob? Even Slimes can punish you if you're not paying attention. It just seems unfair for the poor robos.
There are levels and enemies that make players go "oh crap!" whenever we see them, as there should be. We need unexpected challenges from time to time.
Similarly, there should be levels (treasure vaults) and enemies (scuttlebots) that make us go "phew" or "yippee!"
It's good to have a mix of the friggin' hard and the trivially easy. If everything were easy to moderate, it would quickly become dull. If everything were very hard, it would quickly become unfun due to frequent deaths. There needs to be a mix, and scuttlebots and chromalisks are at the easy end of a balanced spectrum.
Pacing is a ridiculously important element of level design. Action and difficulty should move like a sine curve, or else you lose the interest of the players. You need easy enemies to build a meaningful love-hate relationship with your more difficult enemies in your players. Easy rooms build an appreciation, and in some cases a fear, of difficult rooms.
Not to mention that sometimes you just want to feel like you can steamroll some fodder. :)
retrodes are the equivalent of a small army in a large group in even T2, I have yet to encounter a mob of them on T3 and, frankly, I hope I neveer do.
Seriously, earlier i was running t2 with my sisters, and we came to an ice level that had lots of Ice retrodes. Everything went fine for the first half or so. Then both my sisters got killed by retrodes, I ran from the Mob and got to a crystal room, I then decided to just run as fast as possible towards the lift, I managed to dodge another mob and I got to the lift. Proof that retrodes are fearsome beasts even in T2(I was wearing all 4-star gear minus shield, one of my ssters was all 4-star, and the other was all two-star except for her gun(She was still using her Proto).
The point is that they're cannon fodder.
If you're honestly recommending they put more wolver-esque things in this game I swear I will find you.
