added Divine Mohawk
Aiiros Divine Mohawk. Final bid price was 15,600ce (28/04/2013), which you luckly won.
^I don't understand the purpose of posting this. Regardless of the price I paid for it on a 4 DAY AUCTION (key data point you conveniently decided to leave out), I fully expect to have this sitting around until someone really wants.
Its not that hard to understand. There are a number of types of traders on these forums. The ones who buy at market price (fair price) to use, then get bored of the game or using the item and sell later. The ones who roll endless UVs on their items to get the perfect one to sell. And the ones who know what the market price is, bid cheap then resell to make a mark up. There isn't really a problem with the last way, if both seller and buyer agree, its how things work in real life as well, but seriously asking 30kce for something you paid 15,600ce for, is kind of unfair on the person you bought it off and anyone else wanting to buy don't you think?
That's why I put the price you bought it at and the date, so anyone interested will know how much the item was worth at that time and how much profit you intend to make. Answer me this. If you really believe Divine Mohawk is worth 30kce, and Aiiro only put a buyout of 30kce on his thread would you really have had any interest in it? If your answer is no then that makes you the kind of person I described in the later part of my opening paragraph.
Divine Mohawks are around 15-20kce, only reason your pricing it so high is to get back double what you paid. Its like someone buying Divine Valk Wings for 30-40kce then reselling for like 60-80kce, that made me lol. The 4 day auction part is irrelevant at this point, as you paid an honest price for it, you asking for double what you paid is not honest and I want to make people aware of that. If someone "really" wants to buy it for 30kce then lucky you, but anyone offering around 15kce or less shouldn't be told that they are undercutting. The reason why the market is so slow is because honest buyers and sellers are very rare to come across these days. Everyone wants to buy for cheap so they can sell for more. Don't tell me this is false, I have been in the market for a long time to know what is going on. If it wasn't against 000 terms I would have a list of all the dishonest traders up on every first page of the forums.
I try to be as honest as I can when buying and selling. If I am interested in something and I know that person is selling cheap I always make them aware of the current market price before I buy. From reading your posts you seem to be a decent guy. I'm not here to tell you how to run your thread, you have been selling far longer than I have. But in this case you made a mistake. If you would have asked around the 15-20kce mark I wouldn't have had a problem.
@Mr-Righteous
There's a few problems with your post.
#1 Your valuation on Divine Mohawks is wrong. I saw an opportunity to get a very rare accessory on the cheap if no one else was interested in it, and I got it. I am NOT pricing it just to get double what I paid, I am valuing it at a realistic market value. This item valued between divine side blades (20k CE) and divine parrying blades (30-40k CE), as there's very few in existence and are very highly sought after.
#2 I don't think it's unfair at all. I am very much in tune with the market value of items, and I DO NOT overprice my items. On the contrary, I normally cut people very good deals on my items. In this case, for a rare item such as this, I will offer it to my friends who have been looking for it for a very good price, but the overall community will have an opportunity to win the item at market value if they are interested.
#3 Aiiro did NOT have to accept my offer. He set up an auction, and I was the winning bidder. The rules were very clearly defined. I'm not sure if you've ever been to a real auction, but no one offers fair market value for anything. Everyone is looking for a deal, and it is fairly common to see people flip them for profit. It's work, and it takes some time, but it's a way of life. I did nothing dishonest to Aiiro, I did not try to lie to them about the value of their item, and if I had been asked for a price check on his item I would have been more than happy to provide him with my valuation.
#4 You missed a few different types of traders when you decided to try and qualify every time of trader that exists on this forum.
@Mr-Righteous' Best Friend
You have no reason to post on my thread. I know you two are close enough, and I do not appreciate you trying to validate his post on my thread and adding absolutely no value whatsoever.
If you would like to continue this discussion we can have it in game.
If you read my post very carefully, you would have understood that I never said anything negative on the basis of your sale with Aiiro. I even said the price at which you bought the mohawk was honest. I even stated reselling wasn't wrong either. There is also no problem in the way you got your item through his auction. Only #1 made any sense, and was a good, logical answer to my comment. The rest just made me cry that you did not even bother to read or understand my comment, which is a shame. So you basically wasted your time typing half of that post, as it has no meaning and is classed as spam.
I gave my valuation on the mohawk and I still believe its not worth anymore than 20kce, we can sit here all day crying over an item that isn't even real, but that is also irrelevant to what I was getting at. The problem is you dont read or fully understand what someone is saying and you jump to conclusions. The bottom line is this. You paid 15,600ce for the mohawk and there are prople who will have interest in buying it, dont you think its slightly unfair that your selling it at such a high price when you got it for a fairly decent price? Also selling it "for a very good price" to your friends and selling it to anyone here on the threads at what you believe to be "market" price is very fair isn't it? Your making it worse on yourself.
Sorry you actually made two good points. Your description of an auction was also fairly logical. That was very good to know but posting it as a reply to my comment was boring to read. I didn't say it was a sin that you got the mohawk through an auction. And you still haven't answered my previous question?
If you really believe Divine Mohawk is worth 30kce, and Aiiro only put a buyout of 30kce on his thread would you really have had any interest in it? If your answer is no then that makes you the kind of person I described in the later part of my opening paragraph.
You can type as many replies as you want trying to cover every part along the way. The facts are in front of everyone to see. I dont mean to disrespect you, I even stated that very clearly in my first post. I even wish you luck on selling it at 30kce. I'm going to make it even more simple just incase you fail to read this entire post again. I dont care if this item is worth a million ce, or you are selling it at what ever you want to sell it as. You bought it for a decent price so I expect some honesty in you selling it to someone at around the same price you got it for. Atleast let someone enjoy using it for a price equal to what you paid rather than you trying to make a fat lump of profit.
This discussion would do good to finish here, so people can see what my point is. As far as I'm concerned this discussion was over when I posted my first comment on this thread. Which you obviously didn't want me posting. This is the first sale of a divine mohawk I have seen in the past month or so, I simply wanted to let potential buyers know exactly how much you paid for it. Whats wrong with that?
You fairly bough a Divine Mohawk for 15,600ce which you are now selling for 30,000ce less than one day later. I rest my case.
The fact of the matter is I take exception to the intent of your original post. It was obviously done with malicious intent, and that alone is reprehensible. I did completely understand what you were saying and am not jumping to any conclusions, nor am I trying to hide the fact that I paid 15.6k CE for the item.
I did answer your question in that I do think my valuation is fair, and regardless of how much I paid for any item I will continue to shop them at or near market value. I would not have been interested in the item for 30k CE, as I do look to make my keep as a merchant on the side (clearly).
I love how you tried to classify what I said as spam, it's really great. I understand you're trying to police the forums and try to perpetuate justice, but it's really unwarranted in this instance.
Another thing - it's a fact of life that "friends and family" discounts exist, but if you would like to continue this discussion on the ethics of flipping items for profit I can move my thread to gremlin chatter and we can continue.
And again, it's not that I "didn't want you posting", it's that I take exception to the intent behind your post.

No need to move your thread, unless you want to graveyard it and start again, but I would prefer you leave it here so people can read this, thanks.
What I wanted to say and the response I got is more than enough. I'm done. This isn't the first time you took my meaning as a malicious attemp to put your ability as a trader down. Niether is is the first time I am asking you to stop jumping to your own wild conclusions. Also, wether you want to hide what you payed for it or not, you have no control over that as its in my post, for anyone to see. Its an accurate price check. Thats all it was intended to be.
The way you obviously took a negative stance towards the fact I posted the value you bought the mohawk at, says alot about you. My main role on these threads is not to "police" them, thats 000s job. I'm a trader just like you, maybe not as good as you, but a trader nonetheless. I give out accurate price checks and the odd advice, like most good and honest traders do on these forums. However my "intent" is for these forums to go back to the way it was before, where everyone can be confident they are getting good value for thier items and not getting undercut or ripped off to find thier item bieng sold for "alot" more later. Here is an example of one such individual, I hope he doesn't mind me referencing his post, he edited most of the OP but his intentions were to buy coral/violet chaps off featured auction to sell at same price to all us guys before the resellers got to them first;

I hope you understood and took in the message behind both my posts.
Goodluck selling your items. Have a nice day rating.
That's a good idea, let's graveyard this thread and start over. Thanks for the advice :)
PS - you can deny your true intent all you want, that doesn't mean I'm wrong about it.
