As far as I know, nobody is "pro" at Spiral Knights. If you know somebody who's profession is playing Spiral Knights, feel free to let me know.

I apologize for not having a perfect computer like yourself, but there's this thing called money that I don't have available to spend on a $10000 supercomputer.

Taking donations of a $1300ish computer with at least high end i5 core, 1 tb HD, 240 gb SSD, at least $200 graphics card, windows 7 64 bit or better OS (lol better windows OS I made a funny), 8 gigs of ram, and a good internet connection so I can play Spiral Knights without lag... When I get that I probably won't be around here anymore for awhile. xD

So you are implying that people like me, who spend the few hours they have every day to themselves, have no life by playing SK and being able to solo Vana/be good at LD?

Some people are naturally good at 'things', others put a lot of time into it... whilst some are both naturally good and put time into it. A whole bunch of other factors but I would say its a good general rule.

I am most definitely a pro, I only die from lag and the people who kill me in LD always have uber UV/AA - otherwise I am teh 1337... so stand back :-D

That's not opinion. You're free to say "I think people obsess over the game too much" but that's most certainly not what you said. Fact is, some people can be godmode in pvp w/ hardly any gametime clocked by being naturally good or learning tricks quickly, getting lucky with UVs and taking advantage of an advantage...also, you get people who can put thousands of hours into the game and four figures in cash and still have nothing to show for it in game. Overplaying a game is largely irrelevant to success in a game like this. Go "state your opinion" on a point-and-click game where hours are all that matters.

But if you were to ask me, it would depend on your primary weapon type:

Sword

• Able to deal high damage to high health targets (Lumbers, Trojans, etc.) without interrupting other party members
• Picking enemies off gunners and bombers in close range if they are already nearby
• Able to chain combos with other team members (Troika tennis, etc.)
• Uses at least one of the following well:
  • GFaust
  • Calibur (Levithan or Vanquisher)
  • Cutter (WHunting or DVenom)
  • Troika (especially Sudaruska)

Gun

• Highly competent in strafing
• Uses Pulsars competently
• Uses Alchemers over Autoguns for damage (except Pepperbox)
• Uses Valiance as a sidearm (or at least has one and uses it every once in a while)

Bomb

• Highly competent in strafing
• Carries at least one Vaporizer (preferably Venom/Voltaic; excludes Shivermist)
• Uses Graviton
• Uses Mad Bomber as a full set
• Does not rely on Blast/Barrage lines for >70% damage output

Then the little things like being able to shield bump without spamming things everywhere, being a team player, and not being a clone.
