October 19 Update - Discussion
Anyways. If we can do the Dark Harvest mission once, are we still allowed to join anybody in the "Dark Harvest" mission? Or is it only if you start and complete the Dark Harvest (DH) mission in your prestige section?
If all goes well, could we apply this to every mission?
There would have to be exceptions for the conversation/'simple' missions; stuff like bosses and the Gauntlet should lock you out for the day the moment you enter the levels, late join or not.
People would end up spamming Arcade Vanaduke anyways... so those levels should start locking up, too.
An alternative to locking players out completely would be to lower the crown output on repeated daily entries. This way, people can still get tokens!
just did it right now.
a friend invited me to do the prestige mission and i joined him. note that i already did the Prestige already today.
in Haven, some guy was selling invites for the mission and i laughed at him but now i know what he was doing >.<
Why don't they just remove it altogether? Honestly, there are arcade gates that have a clockworks level as a guarantee, so people will just go spam the arcade for EASIER candy than the mission.
Why not making it a solo mission with no chance to join someone? Easy fix.
In getting candy, it would be pretty unfair because it would take almost forever for the lowest Tier players
Some people might get angry at me for mentioning this, but (:D)
I think you can still do the prestige mission multiple times...
at least I did it multiple times before the patch was released, and I did it a couple times again today after downloading the patch.
I guess for the prestige mission, you can't join them when they are on the punkin king level, but you can join them in the mission lobby or the first floor.
Also, by simply doing the first level of the clockworks, you have at least a 50% chance of meeting him. By looking at which gate offers the most "gear levels" (the ones with a gear for the symbol) you can find the gate that has the highest chance of meeting him, and then instead of spending 20 energy on the 2 levels of the prestige, you can spend 10 energy on a clockworks mission. Of course, you aren't guaranteed to meet him though.
A way you are guranteed to meet him in the clockworks is by looking at your map. The map shows you which stage you will go to if you go down the elevator, so if you see that you are going to a gear stage, keep going, while if you are going to a stage without the PK then don't go on.
I think that if OOO wanted to limit the token output, they could decrease the chances of seeing the PK within the Arcade, and simply don't allow players to play the prestige mission more than once.
Patch failed its objective. People are still doing unlimited farming with alts.
--Redacted to prevent abuse by other players--
Upon grabbing a single candy, it thinks you are done with the prestige mission even if you die/skip to haven. If you are considered done, then also don't allow invitations to the DHF.
I'd just treat it like the cake tokens. If I recall the cake tokens had it so the candy was the quest reward and not a drop inside the level. So you can play with your friends if you wanted but you could only get your daily amount from playing your own prestige.
Something in the patch worked last night but it doesn't seem to CONTINUE working. I started up a mission and a friend asked if he could join, and when I invited him, it said "[Name] has already completed this mission today." And that was that. However, after I finished that, he was able to continue inviting me to others that he hadn't started. I'm not sure of the logistics there.
Wuvvums - I believe you also got some cake tokens in the level itself, but a couple extra as part of the mission rewards.
Would somebody mind telling me why not being able to invite others who had already done the prestige mission that day is a *good* thing?
What I said earlier is no longer true. The server reboot yesterday at 8:00 am EST updated the game so it restricts properly now.
Edit-Edit-Edit: Redacting myself to prevent abuse by other players.
Don't worry. Elevator Pass + separate mist tanks = lots of candies for people with enough time.
first comment!
i can finally cross this off my bucket list. Woop!
anyway it looks like a few players already discovered a loophole.
i actually pity them.
