How to login with steam

Oki this doesn't seem to be working for other people but is working fine for me :-(

> Get to the login screen in spiral knights and press "facebook"
> Browser window should open and prompt for login details, click sign in through steam
> follow prompts and it _should_ log you in... seems to be working for me.

I've tried this too, and it doesn't seem to work.

I was told this is the fix to those "can't connect to server" issues.

Mine says that my account is connected to steam and that I have to run the game through steam. Doesn't let me log in because of that.
