First of all, before introducing this topic, I am well aware that this has been suggested once.

This is just a simple suggestion, SK runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux. Why not chrome? Im upgrading my computer to one because this one is old and I want to play SK on the new one.

Chrome isnt a serious OS. It's been designed pretty much for only one thing: internet browsing -NETbooks-
The base of the OS itself lacks lots of stuff. Game developers cant do much.
Also the hardware they come with isnt prepared for gaming. Even if we port it, the machine doesnt meet the basic requirements to play.

Seriously, even smartphone might be better.

And now here I am repeating one of the same roadblocks.

Even with Java running you still have the problem where Chromebooks do not have the graphical horsepower to run Spiral Knights acceptably. Most use very basic Intel graphics that were never designed for 3D graphics to be a selling point.

The Exynos 5 in the Chromebook has better graphics capabilities than Intel chips, even the 3100. Graphics won't be a problem. The hard part will be building LWJGL for ARM and OpenGL ES.

Vas?

Let's ask ourselves one fatal question to this entire thought process.
How many people use chrome as an OS? Show of hands from the playerbase on a whole?
If the number's under 1k on SK's playerbase... then expect no eventful looking into the problem...
