A couple weeks ago I ran into a small...okay, it is not a small problem. Spiral Knights will not launch. I'm playing through Steam. When I click Play, it pops up as launching the game, then, after about 20 seconds after the window disappears, my profile picture icon gets the blue border again signifying that I am not in game and nothing happens. I've uninstalled and reinstalled both Steam and the game several times, and it is just not happening. There are no errors to speak of...IT'S JUST NOT LAUNCHING THE GAME. It will patch, but will not launch. Makes total freaking sense, right? When this first happened, I thought it was just a bug that the next patch was going to fix... Yeah... nope.avi
Here are my glorious computer specs, so you can't say that I can't run the game.
Model: ASUS Notebook G73Jh Series
RAM: 8 gigs
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Video Card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870
It also has a quad core processor. I'll leave the rest of the tech mumbo jumbo out of this.
I remember that I had updated my graphics card driver and defragged my drives and everything a few days before this issue came up. I played a lot, and I had even started a guild just after I had done the updates to my computer, otherwise I would have blamed that. Instead, this was sudden and without cause. Did one of the patches "break" my game? I seriously need to find out what is wrong so I can start playing again. I'm really ticked.
Thank you for your time and patience in reading my angry rant. HALP.
1.Does it only happens to spiral knights? Do other steam games work well?
2.İs your java up to date?
3.Which java are you using now?(32 or 64 bit or both?)
4.Did you get any BSOD after these changes?
