I'm curious how I can make the game run faster.
I've already increased my heap size (I think) and I use a Game Booster to turn off all non-essential programs while I play.
What else can I do to get a better more consistent FPS rate and faster level load times?
Web browser?? This one I don't get at all.
You can play in your browser. In Fact you can't, java is launched separately from your browser.
If your on steam:
Right Click on the game name.
Properties.
General.
Set launch options...
-Xverify:none -Xms512m -Xmx2g
If you don't use steam:
Right click on your SK desktop icon.
Properties.
Add -Xverify:none -Xms512m -Xmx2g at the end of
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe" -jar getdown-pro.jar
If it don't work decrease the resolution of the game and all these stuff.
You can also upgrape java/switch to the x64 version (if you can).
Don't forget do do a backup before switch to the x64 version.
Increase process priority and manually close unwanted services. It's better than loading yet another program to do it for you.
