Yep, i was thinking about this question for a moment, does anyone know why they call us "Spiral" Knights? I think it's about the trail comes behind the elevator which is in spiral shape while going to haven xD Sorry if it is such a pointless and useless thread, but im really curious about that.
Yeah, we understand "Knights", but what is "Spiral"?

Because we, the Spiral Knights live in an endless spiral, just like a drill. We evolve beyond the person that we were a minute before. Little by little we advance with each turn. Thats how a drill works! WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK WE ARE?!

Spiral knights
We are called Spiral knights because the clockworks has a Spiral shape inside. There are lots of spiral things and we go through Spiral places. So we are called "Spiral Knights"

Didn't we crash-land here? It seems unlikely that our order wold have been named for a feature of a planet we've never seen before. The name has to come from our homeworld, and that lore's even more mysterious to players than Cradle's!
We are knights of the "Spiral Order" for one,
and the clockworks are randomly spiraling down into the core.
That's my best guess.
