So, i just wanna know... Besides skills, how do you reach a master level at Lockdown? I mean some players are sooo good, and i dont understand, how. They have the same equipment as them, but yet, they have much more Damage than everyone else. For example, in tier 2 lockdown, an average player has from 1500-4000 damage, but some people get to 12000 damage. How do they do that?
Being good in LD
Sorry for being a noob, but what is a Voltaic Tempest?
Same base equipment, but do you consider UVs and trinkets?
Oh got it.. a bomb.
Sorry.
But thats not it. I meant in tier 2. The good ones have swift flourishes or i dont know, sealed swords and stuff.
And i dont understand how they are so better than me. (i have Dusker cap LVL. 10, Dusker coat LVL. 10, Great defender LVL. 10, 2 Tetra Heart pendants, Stable Rocket Hammer LVL. 10. I mostly have 9000 or 7000 damage, but when i am off to a much better vanguard, i dont stand a chance. i dont understand. O.o
UVs? Aren't UVs just like this;
Bonus for construct or things like that?
Maybe its their xp; they (prolly) played long.
Btw, I had that too with the Royal Jelly. I had full 3 star equipment, but died multiply with people who didn't do it like me. I even wasted a bunch of CE. Anyway, when we all did the Hall of Heroes mission, it somehow got easier. Maybe the Hall of Heroes secretly affects the damage and makes the "Damage Done" popups outdated.
well i already did all the hall of heroes missions..
There are UVs for attack speed too. So they are able to attack faster and cancel others attacks, getting them more damage. Plus they might have defense UV on their armor so they don't die/retreat as often.
Practice does come a long way; you can double your damage average easily by simply just playing with that loadout for a continued period and practice with it, taking in any advice or tips from veterans willing to help. Beyond that, UVs count for a hell of a lot and many of the consisntely max damage players are LD regulars or long-term players who know what to do and expect in LD and are better acquainted with predicting other players' reactions. It's best not to "try and be the best" because you won't be giving yourself a fair comparison. Just practice what you know and try to learn new things and you'll see your scores increasing. Although don't forget that there's more to LD than just caps/damage: you also have time-wasting, CP defence, status infliction, distractions etc to consider. There's plenty of very useful things to do in LD that aren't recorded, but you won't be recognised for purely because they aren't recorded, and oftentimes the max:damage players are ones who only care about damage and often forget other integral functions of the game.
1.Some of them have low cap point cap point(0-4), these player who have low cap point usally just go all out hunter seeking for a kill
2.UVs
3.Many people go after them and they use seal/hammer spam
4.Skill and experience
5.Combination of all that
Master level LD player=/= highest damage
Master level LD player= >10 captures with significant def and damage
I'd call myself only mediocre in LD, but this is what I'd recommend:
If you're only learning, spend a lot of time in all three classes. Most people end up in Striker, but Recon is an excellent way to learn (a) how people move and (b) how you yourself should move. I personally haven't played enough guardian, but from what I've seen it teaches how to time strikes, how to interrupt and counterattack.
First, you get heart trinkets and good UVs. Then you get a computer that can run SK smoothly. Next step is to have a 100mb/sec connection or live in 4 bar land. Only after this do you take the time to actually practice being good at Lockdown since without these other steps the lantency will still be getting you killed.
Or play T1 LD where everyone has a chance... /end
Ok ok on a serious note.
Use the gear you have fun with (and hopefully works)
Don't need to be like every wolver clone out there. There is nothing wrong with using wolver line but try to stick with weapons you actually like. Pick a play style you like.
Don't go for only damage. Go for caps also. Also if you do focus on caps try to stick with teammates to speed up the process. Going for caps will result in enough fighting to get high damage anyway.
It really isn't hard to get 5+ caps and 10k+ damage per game. Those people that only go out seeking fights really aren't doing themselves or their teams any favors.
Actually trinkets are not needed if you know how to play, I've been doing a high score without it.
Trinkets aren't needed, but you posted before I even finished editing my post. If you are a t3 striker you will like to have the heart trinkets so you don't drop dead in 1/2 hits.
Having heart trinkets doesn't -give- you more skill. It just gives you more ability to survive longer and keep fighting.
All you really need to win at LD is more health than your enemy, and equal level gear. Really getting tired of this "paying cash for double HP" crap.
If its tier two then you should get a dusker coat and either a rocket hammer, sealed sword, twisted snarble barb, or swift flourish. combine it with strike booster and you will massacre people
Firs there's:
Max sword dmg
Max asi
Two heart trinkets
(auto target optional)
Then:
You just get to a point where PC performance and connection speed make you have a ridiculously high advantage. (You'll see them, they get like 10k+ in t2 and 20+ consistantly in t3). On their screen you always look like you're never facing their direction, and on your screen your hits always whiff. Best thing you can do is try to learn the player and do some guesswork, get a better PC, and move closer to the home server!
AMERICA!!!!
If you have good UVs (High-VH on Weps and Max on Armors) and you know how to shield cancel, it's not that hard to be at least average in Lockdown. To be a "Master," just play a crap ton. Over time, you'll get good. Worrying more about improving your style than trying to win every game is probably more important if you want to develop your skills as well.
Take Voltaic Tempest--->Get on a Capture point--->Start spamming it--->Have fun.
