I really need a good run that will give me my heat so I get my Ash-Tail Coat/Cap to a level 10. Any suggestions people?
Anyway to get some heat fast?

be sure to equip stuff that
be sure to equip stuff that are already in lvl 10 so your gear that need heat will get most of the heat (since weapons lvl 10 dont get any heat). if you going with friends to arena at the end your friends can donate every heat they have since arenas on last room have spikes to kill players and some hearts recovery, same in Firestorm Citadel, on depths 26 and 27 your friends can donate you heat there.
but will work great if you bring gear that is already on lvl 10 so your gear that need reach that lvl will gather all the heat ;)

AN AWESOME RUN FOR HEAT
Hey,
I AM GOING TO TELL YOU AN AWESOME RUN FOR HEAT. It's a little something I like to call the FIRESTORM CITADEL or FSC for short :P. The reason why I highly recommend the FSC is because not only do you get like 3+ levels on one item you also get 8000 crowns! Isn't that just amazing? xD. This means whilst you are trying to get one thing you end up getting that AND a bonus :D. But sadly for you, because you said you are trying to get ashtail i'm assuming you are not tier 3 and you will get CHEWED, SWALLOWED, DIGESTED then SPAT OUT in the FSC. Sorry I like to exaggerate. Well I suppose you MIGHT stand a chance if you take strong friends with you, but even then that doesnt stop you from dieing which will result in a massive loss of heat which you need. So what I suggest for YOU my friend, is to probably get some Heat amplifiers and take it to the Royal Jelly Palace where you will find enemies that are easy for you.

Actually, he said he is heating his ash tail currently. Also, many folk can easily run FSC in proto armor. I recently did it in dusker and elemental hood, with a blazebrand. Was fun. Not a challenge, but fun. Swiftstrike is best pony.

That's not how heat works. All items get 100% of the heat collected, it's not distributed along the items, just like on crowns.
For OP, if you are on tier 3, you can have fun with Royal Jelly, if you're on tier 3, Firestorm citadel is the best. Be sure you have some party members willing to die for you at later levels for even faster heat collecting.

What I'm saying is that all items get 100% of the heat collected. It doesn't, for example give 50% of heat to each item if you only have two currently equipped at the end of the level.

Yeahno. There is a reason why leveling Nova Driver/Magma Driver/Callahan/Biohazard all at once takes forever. Because the heat is being split up. If I chose to level them individually, I might have...2 of them done, with the other two only starting out.
The ONLY things that duplicates for each knight on runs are crowns, and minerals. Technically heat as well, but then the heat is split up between your items. You do not get 100% per item even if 5 items need heat, in that case, each of them gets 20% heat.

Ailment and Forumchat are correct, and so is the Wiki page. This is why it takes me about 6 depths to level a single 5* item to level 10 when I'm bringing ONLY that item instead of 7 5* items that need heat. Heat is split evenly between your items. 7 items to heat? They each get 1/7 of the heat you finish the level with. Have two? They get 1/2 the heat, then. Only 1? It gets all the heat. The system was designed that way so heat wouldn't be wasted.

Royal Jelly Palace, Firestorm Citadel, and arenas tend to be pretty good. There are also heat amps.
