[Video] How do you deal with puppy room in fsc?
I knew about the vial trick, but I didn't guessed I could lure the puppy like that. Then again, that's not even necessary, as long as you stay from it as far as possible and go fast.
Oh, that place? Nothing so complicated. I just kill the rocket puppy and run across the bottom before it regenerates (obviously, I kill the zombies down there beforehand). One driver charge, maybe an extra shot after that if my aim is off.
Pfft vials. I can get through that whole thing by getting the RP's attention, then taking the long way around so it points left instead of down. Then I can go all the way around without it seeing me.
I'll take a screenshot next time I run FSC
@batabii
so in other words... you do the same thing as in my video but you get its attention by walking instead of throwing a vial?
How you get the attention from the puppy is irrelevant :)
What? No, your video showed you going BACKWARDS by using the shock vials to open the ghost blocks. You never actually took the south path
My way never needs to use shock, and goes counterclockwise.

Sorry for the low quality (not my video) but this is basically what I do. It still works.
Well sorry, I didn't think you'd bother going back through in the last ten seconds when you already got the sprite
And yet you completely ignored the two torches??
lol xD understandable..
Well, it might seem weird at first, but i wanted to show two ways without using a gun in the same run. if i had done them in the opposite order the shock vial one would not work.
I distract the puppy, although recently I've been avoiding that room. People always walk into it and get surprised by the distracted puppy.. and it messes it all up.
I do this without vials and without stepping on the right side of the room since i run with a nova driver, but you can do this with a silversix like i used to as well.
1) I clear the first wave (like you did in the vid above).
2) Then i trigger the bottom wave (also like you did), drawing them to the left. Stay on the left side of the room.
This is where my method differs:
3) Then, i trigger the first cube again, run south, shoot out the cube on the right (2 cubes are now down), run back to the left before the blocks furthest to the left reappear and stay on the left side and wait until the zombies follow me. (So I basically draw the attention of the zombies on the right, and make them come all the way to the left).
4) Usually, i have to do step 3 once or twice to make sure all the zombies on the right, follow me to the left. You have to knock down their right-most gate and be quick enough to avoid getting stuck in the south portion of the room (if the rocket puppy wakes up, i immediately start blasting, block, blast again, and it's dead).
5) With the Nova Driver, you can simply charge and finish up the top part of the room.
Or.
If you don't run with a Nova Driver, you can follow the same steps to clear 3/4 of the room (left, bottom, right), then clear the top wave last, by picking them off from the left side of the room.
Now that the room is void of enemies, just run from bottom to top and collect your coins.
With the nova driver, you can even do it in reverse. But, if you only have a silversix, you have to do it starting from left, bottom, right.
I've seen people do that before.. I usually just kill it though.
And yeah, noobs coming in to "help" does suck.
Old tricks, but I'm happy you are re-introducing them.
Asking for thumbs up in the description for a reason other than actually liking the video?
Oh yeah. I've been doing that trick with Polaris or Storm Driver for a while now.
I gave up on the tricks awhile ago. If I have a gun, I kill the puppy as was already mentioned. But if I don't have a gun, I just clear the last two areas while dodging the rocket. It isn't that difficult, especially since it can collide with skellies.
People try too hard at fsc.
You can use the Catalyzer line's charge attack blasts to run the rocket puppy rooms in reverse. Fire a charge attack at an exposed zombie, and time the triggering shot so that the orbiting charge is as close as possible to the ghost block when it goes off. Or just get a bunch of charge attacks on the zombie, and take it out alongside the block.
It's fairly reliable when you have the timing down, and can also do some decent damage to the pack of zombies if you stack a lot of charges.
i acctually prefer my second method im showing in the video. the first one requires shock vials. the other one requires a weapon to destroy ghost blocks xD
btw, im suprised to see no one posted about the old days when you could use a certain angle on the Divine Avenger charge attack to walk backwards through the room.
@ oatmonster
idk why i put it in the description.. i dont care that much about likes on youtube.
@ nordic-oten
catalyzer line huh? nice to see some players not following main stream :)

i discowered this method myself;)
Fastest way? I tell someone else to go run around while I trollaris the puppy's face into mush. Safe, easy, no tricks~
Isn't groupwork fun?
Groupwork is great, but taking one more people to do the same room while he can do other rooms/stuffs definitely not fastest ;p
@Quandasim
Nice :)
But did you also see that is one of the ways I show in my video?
awesome... awesome to the max
