That wonderful unreleased update has me walking through walls

My recent ISP is an improvement on what I've had before. As is my computer. And yet despite all my trying and everything to get your wonderful game to work I still receive multiple instances of my connection basically dropping for 10 seconds or longer. If it doesn't last 10 seconds. I'm dealing with my location jumping from one place to the next. (For example I'll run 20 paces away from an enemy, and find myself right back at the enemy dead on the ground 3 seconds later, said enemy DID NOT MOVE FROM HIS LOCATION!)
You know what it looks like? Well let's start at enemies deciding that they're in noclip land. Walls don't exist and they'll run forever.
I find that I can charge a weapon and if it has a projectile, it never displays on my end. I fire a gun and no bullets appear.

Temporary disconnections... etc.

Now I've seen the file size of SK go up a bit... So I know somewhere in there is unreleased content and since I don't necessarily have the time/know how to extrapolate what files ARE there and such I'll explain this simply...

You announce that a guild update will be released in two weeks... the INSTANCE that announcement is made I have these issues.

Before then, apart from a very minimal disconnection rate, I was fine. Now? I can't run anything effectively. Snarbolax kills me when I'm in full 5* gear... I've run JK, RT, and Vana using only bombs in cyclops cap and fencing jacket.

As to how I've attempted fixing this? I've set graphics to low, attempted all the setting mixtures available in both video and advanced options.. tried overclocking my computer, tried uninstalling and re-installing SK through steam, tried using the independent client.... Whatever you have left... lemme know.

Nevermind

Found my answer, it involves me not playing anymore. However, I'd enjoy an answer being put here for those who also have this problem.

Thank you for reading. Bye.

It was Three Ring's problem currently. The servers aren't well maintained these days.

They should be aware of this.

They already are aware

I'd imagine they're already aware of this... you know thunder... they are working on that Dr. Hogwash game. Sega funds their pockets and the MMO they worked on dies...

They might pick it up later, but honestly I don't see any immediate answers apart from packing my bags from this game and moving on. It's been fun... I'll double-check this crap on guild update release... but if I can't get something to work by then I'm done dealing with this.

The game started out great... but my motivation to stay has left me. I love my guildmates, love the friends I made... but I have to say this is coming to be the end of this game for me.

I've said this many times on

I've said this many times on multiple threads now, but I'm exactly in your position as well. I have gone through 2 ISPs ever since I started playing SK, BOTH of them worked great up until a certain update that made the game completely unplayable. For the first ISP I was on, SK worked great all the time up until the release of the Shadow Lairs in Oct. 2011. Then after a month or two of unbearable lag 100% of the time, I switched ISPs, and SK became playable again. But now, ever since the release of Ghosts in the Machine, the game has once again become unplayable, and I am completely out of options for internet service. My old ISP wouldn't work on SK, as I tried the game at a friends house who has the exact same ISP as my old one. Once the guild halls come out, with my luck I wouldn't be surprised if I couldn't even log on anymore. The only time I can play the game these days is when I'm on some super fast connection that I do not have access to at home.

I've done COUNTLESS registry editing, tweaking, fixing, optimizing etc. etc. etc. to improve the connection lag I have but nothing has ever made a difference. Correct ports have been forwarded, troubleshooting has been followed 100%, proxies have been used, and still all I can seem to get these days is stupid BS like this.

Now the ToS does state this:

3. Access. You must have access to the Internet in order to use Spiral
Knights. It is your responsibility to select, obtain and pay for any equipment
or services necessary for access.

If you ask me I think OOO should change it to this:

3. Access. You must have a high Upload/Download transfer rate and ultra low latency access to the internet in order to log onto and play Spiral Knights. It is your responsibility to live as close to our servers as possible and select, obtain and pay for the above said access to the internet.

OOO has done a really good job on this game, I have to admit. But I think they need to work on how the game's connection between the server and the client works. Not EVERYBODY has access to cable internet that can download games on Steam in a matter of minutes, so you would think you shouldn't have to have an extremely fast connection to play an online game like SK properly. I mean come on, I play many games online and the only time they lag is when someone else in the house decides to watch Netflix or if the internet traffic is busy which doesn't happen often. But SK? Oh no no no, your connection isn't top of the line so enjoy your attempt at navigating Haven's Town square.

TL;DR So in conclusion to my wall of text, I lag just as much as you do, I've done countless things to fix it, and I'm probably gonna quit the game as well until OOO decides to fix the lag for not-so-extremely-fast internet connections.
